The location is excellent! Everything was walking distance to the must-see places in Istanbul. The service was wonderful and the manager, Tatiana, did everything to make us comfortable and happy. Upon our request she even brought us to a cooperative that sold rugs which was also close by to the hotel. Ring Stone was also beside the oldest Hammam in Istanbul, The Cagaloglu, so it was convenient to go to the Hammam at night and walk 10 steps back to the Hotel.

The Best of Asia and Europe

The city of Istanbul offers a trip unlike any other, encompassing Asian and European cultures to create a heady mix of art, music and food. The amazing Old Town and the Sultanahmet are home to iconic Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. More history is hidden in the Topkapi Palace, where you can glimpse the splendor and opulence of Turkey’s Ottoman heritage.

Take a stroll through the historic center or the busy Taksim Square before watching the sun set behind countless mosques and minarets. Local fish markets and numerous restaurants lining the bridge to Galata offer the Golden Horn’s daily catch.

If you prefer the fine art of bargaining to fine art, lose yourself in the Grand Bazar and maybe you’ll emerge with a hookah, some Turkish coffee, or even a carpet. The Spice Bazar further immerses you in the sights, smells, and tastes of Turkish culture.

Istanbul is a great destination, many places to visit and the people are also very nice. Unfortunately due to high inflation prices have risen quite significantly to the same level of western European countries. Food prices in Sultanahmet area is also very expensive, the prices in Asian part of Istanbul (Kadikoy or Uskudar) are definitely much better and also better value for money.

Istanbul is beautiful with a wealth of history. There is so much to see like the Hagia Sophia museum and mosque with its beautiful architecture. The tram service is so convenient and runs constantly. I would visit Istanbul again and again. It is one of my favourite city. You will find everything in the Grand Bazaar and the spice bazaar. Not forgetting the beautiful sunset at the Bosphorous sea. Truly amazing :)

Istanbul is one of the best cities you can visit.

Istanbul is one of the best cities you can visit. It has so much history, beauty and good food. It's safe to walk, and it has the best transportation system I have ever seen. Food is amazing, sweets are fabulous, and there are lots of places to hear music and watch dances. There are Bosphorus cruises, beautiful mosques, churches and museums, lots of charming little streets, and thousands of cats everywhere.

I especially enjoyed walking through Sultanahmet, where the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Topkapi Palace sit within steps of each other. The Grand Bazaar was another highlight, buzzing with colour, spices, and traditional crafts. A ferry ride along the Bosphorus gave me some of the best views of the city. 🍴 Where I ate: Food was a joy everywhere! Street vendors selling simit and roasted chestnuts made the walks special. I had delicious kebabs in Karaköy and tried fresh seafood near the Galata Bridge. Don’t miss Turkish delight and baklava with tea in one of the traditional cafés. 🚋 Getting around: It’s fairly easy to get around with Istanbul’s trams, ferries, and metro. A transport card is very useful. Walking is the best way to soak up the atmosphere, but be prepared for hills! ⚠️ What I’d avoid next time: I would try to visit popular attractions early in the morning to avoid the crowds. Also, I’d be more careful around touristy areas where prices can be inflated.

Istanbul is obviously a stunning city with so much to see, do and learn. I first visited about 15 years ago and was left with best memories. This time round I was shocked by prices. I come from UK where entrance to most famous museums in London are free. So to pay £50-£60 for palace/museum entrance for a 2 hour tour was a bit disappointing. Prior to visiting Istanbul we visited Saint Petersburg and paid £17 for entrance ticket to Hermitage - the world’s most famous museums, and spent 6 hours exploring it. Most museum entrance in Saint Petersburg was £8-£20 max. So much better value for money. Also restaurant prices in Istanbul are the same as in London with smaller food portions. All in all Istanbul is very expensive!

In all of our many years of travelling, this is the best customer service we have ever experienced. The staff here are simply exceptional. The rooms are beautiful and big. The location is perfect. The breakfast is tasty and huge. The hotel organised laundry, an airport transfer and a Bosphorus cruise for us and it all went flawlessly. They also upgraded us free of charge. This was a perfect experience and we will stay here again on our next visit in Istanbul!

Although this is not a luxury 5 star hotel, it is very clean and comfortable and staff are very helpful. Its a great location - easy to access the buses / metro to the centre and all the historical locations, as well as the ferries. Berhan was also very helpful in helping me to obtain an Istanbul card , to be able to use the metro etc, and advised me about the local area and places to eat, as well as arranged my airport taxi efficiently.
