The room was very clean and because I am handicapped, the room met all of my needs from the easy way to get in and out of the shower to being able to reach for everything I needed. The customer service was great. Nice and very friendly. I have already recommended the Motel 6 in Arcata,CA to some of my friends who travel alot on US HWY 101.

It’s all good at Ravens Nest. Comfortable, quiet, with a lot of windows for good views of mostly BIG trees. Actually, if it’s clear you can see a sliver of Alexander Von Humboldt Bay. Everything works fine and there is easy parking. Arcata is 5 minutes, Eureka is 12 minutes, and Trinidad is about 20 minutes. Highlights of the area for us was hiking the Arcata Community Forest, food at Campground Restaurant, and the North Coast Co-op Arcata market has everything. No crowds, no traffic, laid back atmosphere, and long, long deserted beach walks. Enjoy!

The hosts Dave & Becky created a unique experience, it felt like visiting a close friend, even if we never met them before. There were so many things to discover in the house and the design is fantastic. Dave cooked a great breakfast.

    Restaurants were all over with food for every palate.

    Restaurants were all over with food for every palate. The Redwoods are close. Elk viewing was close. Beaches were great, can’t blame the City for the cool weather. Camping and hiking opportunities were plentiful. We didn’t fish, but talked to several fishermen who came back with nice catches and or photos.

    Great location for exploring surrounding redwood parks, town had some good dining options, We went to Japhy's, but it was closed and a new restaurant is there. We didn't try it. We walked up the street to Pho Hoang, a Vietnamese restaurant that was really good. Moderate prices. Easy to drive around town.

    I only stopped overnight.

    I only stopped overnight. I wish I could have stayed another day to explore the shops on the Arcata Plaza. They have good restaurants and a Farmers market on Saturday morning. Definitely worth a couple of days to explore shopping and nature.

    location was great as we came with our boys for a Humboldt...

    location was great as we came with our boys for a Humboldt Cal Poly college tour. we could only stay 1 night but the location was great as it was only 6 minutes from the campus which was helpful given that we had a 9am tour. We ate dinner at the Madrone Brick fire place pizza place which was delicious. The cooking of the pizzas was slow but we enjoyed out family time together and they were fantastic when they came, so plan on having time to visit with your family or friends. It's worth the wait! We then went to the homemade Ice cream shop in town by the bay.

    Beautiful town! Great marketplace on Saturdays. People are super friendly. Laid-back chill vibe. There's a restaurant right next to the Ramada called Tony's. That's open 24 hours and their food is excellent
