Healy is very convenient if you have a car and are visiting Denali National Park and Preserve. There is a reasonably good grocery and liquor store. Healy is conveniently located nine miles north of the entrance to Denali National Park. There are several restaurants on the highway corridor, as well as motorist services. Not really THAT much to do in Healy unless you are an actual resident. It's a very small town that seems to depend heavily on tourist traffic (it's just down the road from Denali National Park). I am a frequent visitor to Denali National Park, so I go through Healy a lot. In my opinion, Healy is a typical town set up by and for the cruise lines who want to run people into Denali. Food is high and early May is really a challenge if you have special dietary needs.
