Island Park was a great choice to stay for our Yellowstone trip. We ate at The Parlor a couple times, they had very good pizza and ice cream, highly recommend the Huckleberry. Beautfiul getaway in the mountains. It is a mountain dream and a fisherman mecca. The Tetons can be seen in the distance on clear days. This was my first stay in Island Park now that it has grown. We found our way around and enjoyed the friendliness of the people we interfaced with. The most adventurous thing we did was drive up to Sawtelle Peak. It was a beautiful day. I will share some pictures. There was a lot of smoke in the air though.Guest review byHeath - 10.0

A group of 5 stayed here while visiting Yellowstone. The house was the perfect size for us. The house was very clean and well stocked. We loved being able to sit outside on the porch each evening for a little while & enjoying the view of the mountains. The area is very remote but not too far from Yellowstone & a cute town outside of Yellowstone. Our trip included a visit of the museum in town which has a lot of history of Yellowstone. We enjoyed learning the history of the area & of Yellowstone Park. This location was perfect for what we wanted.
This location was perfect for what we wanted. Only 20 mins to West Yellowstone which was actually closer than we originally thought. The property was super clean, and had everything we needed. Kitchen cleaning supplies, laundry pods and even bear spray available which we took along while walking in Yellowstone. To be fair about the room issue, I was pretty upset that I didn’t get the cabin ordered but then found an email stating it was a room, which I didn’t see prior to arrival. And when I requested the cabin, they responded that all cabins were already booked. We were very disappointed!!! We did not see much of Island Park, mainly used location for access to Yellowstone but it is pretty far! However, the rate was very good and the coffee & muffins provided at Anglers Lodge were very good.Guest review byAnonymous

The location is very atmospheric, in the middle of the woods. It is about 30 min from the West entrance of Yellowstone, but it was worth being in a more secluded location, for sure.
