This hotel was beautiful and so clean, filled with many lovely items in the common areas. The area was beautiful and very safe. The bathroom in the room was HUGE and very clean. The bed was soft and quite cozy. I wish I could have stayed in bed all day! We had a problem with the shower being only scorching hot or freezing cold and making a loud clunking sound. When we called the front desk, they sent someone up right away who fixed it in minutes! This place was incredibly upscale for the small amount of money we paid for the room. Would come back again in a heartbeat! All the employees were very nice and treated us well. There are lots of wonderful eateries nearby. Cook Out was right next door...they had a wonderful peach cobbler shake you must try. Cootie Browns was just down the street and had a fun vibe and good, if a bit pricey food. Our favorite discovery was White Duck Taco which had so many fun drinks and unusual taco flavors like Bangkok Shrimp or Thai Peanut.

    Very nice, friendly atmosphere in general.

    Very nice, friendly atmosphere in general. We visited three restaurants while there and all the folks we encountered were very friendly and courteous. The City appeared clean and well kept. We traveled to and from Winged Deer Park, the Firehouse Restaurant and the Blue Moose Sports Bar, and felt safe everywhere. Really a nice town!

    Very nice town Johnson City, easy to get around with lots of Restraurants to choose from and shopping convenient. We ate at Pankcake house in Jonesborough great place to get breakfast staff very pleasant also ate at Maple Street Biscuit Company very good sausage biscuits. both of these Restraurants very good and would recommend.

    Favorite activities included Tiebreakers Arcade and Just Jump Trampoline Park for our 8 year old, shopping for my wife and golf for me. Restaurants: Texas Roadhouse, Olive Garden, Maple Street Biscuit Getting around Johnson City is easy.

    No elevator! 3 stories.

    No elevator! 3 stories. I said no way and they put us on 2nd floor. Needs major updating. Hairs in bathroom. Breakfast bar was horrible! Hard muffins, old bananas, nothing replaced only halfway through. The clerk was VERY pleasant.

    It's a nice city, not much night life is the only negative which isn't an issue for most. Very friendly people and plenty of stores to go shopping. One of the best places ive been in Tennessee to be honest

    I was only there one night but the accomadations at the Carnegie Hotel and Spa was very nice. The staff were attentive and pleasent and the room was super nice and clean. I did not eat at the resturant however it did seem when passing by that it was packed.

    I loved the mini waffles and the REAL butter even the coffee was good and I almost never drink hotel coffee. I always make a trip to Starbucks but the hotel coffee was fine for me. I loved the fluffy pillows - I actually dreamed I was sleeping on a cloud. The bed was comfortable. The BEST thing about this hotel was Jeremiah. He was wonderful.

    The beds were exceptional! Good rest for weary and tired travelers. Most hotels leave little bottles of shampoo and such , but it impressed me that they provided big bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion! And it was name brand! Dove lol . It was very clean too, which is ALWAYS my main concern in a hotel.

    Actually i booked through booking.com, but when i went there i didnt see the reservation and also without accomodation my card has been charged twice. Unfortunately i have to book it again at the hotel. However i didnt get my money refunded by booking.com even after multiple emails or calls.
