We stayed 5 nights with my wife and 6yo. All positive reviews are usually not very useful but can't really find anything "constructive" to say. Rooms are spacious, beds comfy and large, amenities in rooms and in the hotel great, plenty of parking spaces (33$/night for self parking), great location for universal studios and easy access to interstates for trips. If we ever come back to LA, Garland is the one we will be staying in.

Wonderful staff. Really gracious & always happy to help. I loved the cool vibe - the courtyard had gorgeous landscaping and great ambience. It felt like old Hollywood but not at all tacky. Very cool. Nicely designed rooms, edgy tasteful.

FAQs about hotels in Los Angeles

City of Angels

Exploring Los Angeles, the place where movies are made, you feel like you’re in a dream. Santa Monica Pier is the end point of the fabled Route 66, while just south is bohemian Venice Beach, lined by tall, swaying palms. Go slightly inland from the boardwalk to catch a glimpse of the canals that earned the area its name.

Head north to the golden beach and stunning scenery of Malibu and see why movie stars over the decades have settled here. Also popular with the rich and famous are Bel Air and Beverly Hills, home to exclusive Rodeo Drive.

And the reason for all this glitz and glamour? Hollywood, of course! Sitting high on a hill, the iconic sign is visible for miles around, while below the gold stars on Hollywood Boulevard immortalize celebrities of past and present.  Be there on premiere night to see them grace the red carpet of Grauman’s Chinese Theater.

Over the hill is Universal Studios, with behind-the-scenes tours as well as rides. Next door are the Warner Brothers Studios, and Paramount Studios are closer to Downtown LA.

Whether you decide to live like a star in a luxury LA hotel or choose a cheap motel through Booking.com, it’s worth renting a car to get around this sprawling city and out to Los Angeles Airport (LAX).

There is a lot to see and do in LA and it all depends on what each person is into. Must of the must do's include - have really good tacos, enjoy a swim at an outdoor hotel pool soaking up the rays and visit LAMCA it's a great museum.

Pros- Hollywood attractions are easy to walk to and interesting. Hollywood itself is smaller than it looks on TV so you can easily get to everything. At night you can go to the very historic Chinese Theater and see a movie as well as take a tour during the day. Plenty of places to eat and all prices. You can rent a driverless Waymo car to go to Paramount Studios for about $12 it was a lot of fun and very safe. Tour was great. Cons-dirty, trash everywhere and people sleeping on the street that you have to step around. The Walgreens right by the Dolby Theater where they hold the OSCARS got robbed of a case of drinks about noon. People were shouting "thief, thief". There's no police presence whatsoever.

So much to see and do. Fantastic museums.

So much to see and do. Fantastic museums. Would go to many again and again if I could. Favorites are La Brea Tar Pits (a gem!!! way under appreciated), the Huntington in Pasadena (gardens and the art collections!!!), the Petersen Automotive Museum and the Vault underneath it (separate ticket fee, but worth it), and the Getty's (2). Many more but those we've visited already and plan to visit again. We also have enjoyed seeing the sites (locations around LA) that have featured prominently in our favorite series (Bosch). Many great destinations featured and fun to see a couple more each time we come thru LA.

Los Angeles is a huge cities that has a lot to offer. You can just relax at the beach choosing from plenty of different places and vibes: from Malibu to Santa Monica to the more lively Venice Beach or peaceful Hermosa. You can hike at Lake Hollywood Park or Griffith Park, with breathtaking views of the city, especially at sunset. You can also appreciate a lot of restuarnts and bars in many areas, especially West Hollywood and Beverly Hills are my favorite. The best way to move around is car, it won't be difficult find parking spots but take some time, there is some distance between interesting spots

LA was so incredible. The culture and community are amazing and there's so much history. I wish I could've stayed longer but I plan on coming back soon to conquer the city again with adventures. There's always places to go and memories to make. Los Angeles helped me heal in ways I never thought possible, especially Hollywood and Little Tokyo.

Close to museums and downtown area. Clean rooms. Lots of places to eat around the hotel. A beautiful vegan restaurant across the street with smoothies and great breakfasts that are healthy. (not a vegan but liked it). A specialty sausage restaurant, noodle bar. Good room with a couch and a fridge. Hanging space. Moe on reception was great. Great little hotel with exposed brick walls and red highlights. Secure door. Cool street art around the surrounding streets. Parking nearby was cheap. Would stay again.

It was exactly as described. It was a decent room with A/C and a big bed. Not really immediately close to places to eat but if you took a short walk you could find In N out or multiple hotels that did have dining. Best thing was that's its super close to the airport. Airplane nose overhead wasn't a bother to me. Great place to kill time or need a cheap room just for one night. Staff was super cool! Travel on!

Excellent cost-benefit report at a typical standard found in the Best Western hotels chain. Free parking, breakfast included, and several amenities in the room. If you count their value (i.e., for a family of four members), you end up with one of the cheapest accommodations in LA at Best Western standards (i.e., cleanliness, etc).
