United StatesI liked the designated parking spot right outside my room door. The bed was comfortable. The refrigerator had a small freezer so that I could refreeze my ice packs. There were hooks on the wall by the door to hang items and a nice little table with 2 chairs. You could pick up an ice bucket of ice from the office which was very adequate for our needs. There were chairs outside the room door to enjoy the nice cool evening.

Didn't stay long enough to discover Newberry but we loved Timber Charlies, recommended for supper by front desk staff. It's an exceptionally professionally operated restaurant, from initial welcome and table assignment to service throughout the meal. The place was humming, tables were being over three times in the course of the evening, the staff all worked well together like a well-oiled machine. We always enjoy Taquamenon Falls and Oswald's Bear Ranch. Newberry is a good spot that isn't terribly far from Pictured Rocks, various waterfalls, lighthouses, Shipwreck Museum, etc. Downside is that restaurant options are very limited in Newberry and the one sit down restaurant just down the road that offered breakfast, lunch, and dinner was closed on Sundays and Mondays.Guest review byAnonymousUnited States - 10.0

When I arrived, I had dinner at Chamberlins Inn which was great! The next day I visited Oswald's Bear Ranch and went to a Lumberjacks Festival to watch a Horse pull! The hotel was in a perfect location for local day trips sightseeing adventures! This was a fun trip with my grandchildren, and they lived it, too!
