The room was very clean and cozy.
The room was very clean and cozy. The staff wonderful friendly. The courtyard was very lovely with plants and flowers everywhere, fire pit with Adirondack chairs and picnic bench. A very small town--and very quiet at night, so ideal if you want to unwind and sleep well. There are lovely parks and its very clean and walkable. I walked from the hotel to a little market to get some milk, and found an incredible park, and throughout the town are wonderful steel sculptures--one activity is to find them all, but I didn't have time. Now this is about Raymond the town itself not the Golden Lion Inn. I've lived here in Washington for some time now and found Raymond to be a quite, depressed town. The drive out of Raymond taking HYWY 6 going to Vader thru Pe Ell is an excellent opportunity to decompress your thoughts. I was the only driver/car on that road enjoying music, the rain and scenery. Raymond has three nationally registered historical properties, the Theater, Post Office and Library. It is a logging town. There is a lovely Carriage museum, We drove around and enjoyed the natural sites. Don't forget to eat Oysters here.Guest review byAnonymous
