When I started to plan our trip I noticed that if we choose to stay in a hotel in Staunton,VA it was more expensive, probably because it is convenient for people traveling on I-81. We stayed here as part of the plan we made to visit Thomas Jefferson's Monticello mansion in Charlottesville. It is cheaper to stay in Waynesboro even though it is only about 25-30 miles away. The trip to Waynesboro was great because I have family there and was my main reason for the visit. As far as the stay, it was ok but more than I had originally been prepared to pay. Reason being, the Booking.com agent that booked me booked me in Waynesboro, VA. I wasn't aware of until I reached my destination and was told I had no reservation.
