Full disclaimer, I got a free room upgrade - special thanks to Selma, Selena and Abdul for their excellent service! I checked in after staying at the Grand Hyatt, so I believe I have a benchmark for comparing 5-star hotels in Istanbul. For the price I paid (which was half of the GH), the room in the main building was exceptional; huge, super clean, great view over the city (although you couldn't see any landmarks), well equipped, central location, I have no complaints. The Spa facilities are a nice plus, especially since a full spectrum of both free and (reasonably) priced services are being offered, 12 hours per day, every day. I also read some reviews about needing to walk uphill to get to Taksim Square, which are partly true, but I think they are exaggerating. Overall, I would definitely stay again, the hotel is great value.

Excellent location, well maintained and clean property. Amazing staff and service, especially front desk and concierge, Musa at front desk was great. They even helped us as our taxi to airport had luggage capacity issues due to a spare tire in the trunk, and they agreed to keep the spare temporarily to create more space. Good breakfast everyday on terrace with excellent view of Istanbul and Blue Mosque. Gave us great city tour and cruise options.

The room was very clean and tight. The hotel is located near the tram station and the main monuments of instabul. It's also very quiet for a central spot.
