The view, the staff.
The region is beautiful and quiet.
Lots of beaches where you find yourself on your own to enjoy the clean beautiful water.
Much quieter than crowded touristic Agia Galini

GODZILLA and the staff! 😃 The location couldn't be better! The room wasn't fancy but adequate and comfortable. Considering how isolated this place was, it was helpful that they had a restaurant, too.

This was a great place to stay. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a lovely view and a small balcony you could sit out on in the evening with a glass of wine and a book. The restaurant on the ground floor is very good and popular with friendly staff and is we’re I ate during my stay.

The property was exactly what we needed to start our trip. Away from the hustle and total relaxation. The host Cleopatra was very accommodating and attentive. She provided an excellent ambience in a traditional village setting in Kerames. Her recommendations were excellent and the views from the villa were amazing. I will return on a future trip and recommend the place.

Very nice small own halfway between Rethymno and the south coast of Crete. Some good tourist shops. Some decent cafes.
There is a wonderful restaurant Taverna Pirgos right off the main road from Spili to Rethymno - about 6 km north from Spili. Well worth a visit

We enjoyed the village, lots of eating options and walking trails. Easy access by car to nearby villages and Patsos Gorge and dam. Patsos has interesting WW2 history where German General was captured and hidden. See Vasili website.

Peaceful and quiete place with lot of nice restaurants, specially The Old Forge byNikos! Some small shops and mini marts, all you need for a stay. Just in the middle of Crete to make trips to both north to Rethymnon and south to some nice beaches. Absolutely worth staying for a couple of nights or more. And exploring the surroundings.

I usually stay in the late autumn/early spring-time.
I usually stay in the late autumn/early spring-time. I am interested in the wild flower areas, walking, nature, relaxing. If you are into a lively night scene this place isn't for you unless you are the sort of traveller who wants to explore and go to the local places to eat and drink. I have danced in a local kafenion in the evening and invited to a wedding the following day! I know the town is very busy during the day with coaches of tourists visiting the town so be prepared. I am usually out of the town during the day but have a good time as a solo female traveller in the evenings.
