The hotel staff are really friendly and helpful. The hotel and the room were very clean and tidy. All the utilities in the room were of good quality and nothing was missing. The staff were absolutely wonderful. They were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay (and my birthday) a lovely experience. I liked the eco-friendly aspects of the hotel, the delicious breakfast buffet, the free drink time, and the onsen. You choose your own pillow in the lobby, based on your preferred firmness, and take any toiletries you need like mouthwash, shampoo, body lotion, etc. The breakfast hours are early but it's well worth waking up for. (Note: it's more Japanese-style than Western-style but incredibly filling and they kept refilling the trays.) During the free "happy hour" you can make your own cocktails or mocktails, or enjoy red or white wine (but no beer). The onsen was small but nice. The water was around 42 degrees C, I believe, and it was a nice way to sweat and relax away the day's walking. You can even check to see how crowded it is through a menu on the TV in the room and the women's onsen is nice and safe (there's a separate lock code for the door that you're given upon check-in).
