We are lucky to live on 136 acres of beautiful horse property just one hour from Melbourne. Chum Creek Hut is located on our property however we can't see or hear the hut from our residence or any neighbours so it feels like you have the whole property to yourself. It's extremely peaceful. Our property backs onto State Forest so we can horse ride or walk directly from our property into the State Forest tracks. We have stocked the dams with trout and yabbies if you would like to do some fishing. We share our property with some of Australia's most renown wildlife including kangaroos, wombats, echidnas and birdlife. Book a horse ride with us, or simply relax in front of the original stone open fire.
We love living on a country property far removed from the bustle of city life. We love to grow our own food, take guests out oh horse rides to show them the delights of the Australian bush. We love food and wine and are always very happy to make recommendations to our guests regarding places to visit. Just ask us! We are always happy to help our guests have a memorable stay.
Chum Creek Hut is located in the heart of the Yarra Valley which is one of Australia's premier wine regions. We are central to all the region has to offer including wineries, award winning restaurants, iconic country pubs, Healesville Sanctuary Australian Wildlife park, gardens, nature walks and scenic country drives.
