Flagstaff Hill Maritime Museum was fabulous; a chance to wander around a village of bygone days. And plenty of displays. Being school holidays, there was a puppet making and woodworking workshop which was fabulous. Very steep though so not ideal for those with mobility aids. Great gift shop and Beaches Cafe is attached with quality food and excellent service. Plenty of shopping for those that need it. Port of Warrnambool and beaches to see (just not when we were there due to the bad weather!) Port Fairy is just a 20 minutes drive away with a great little bakery for lunch - Cobb’s Bakery - and Tower Hill to see koalas in their natural habitat. The Lake Pertobe Adventure Playground is a hit with the kids; so much equipment to play on and things to do, including mini golf. Macs Hotel / Macey’s Bistro has excellent food, great atmosphere and friendly efficient staff. Lots of different types of accommodation to choose from for all types of travel groups of people in all price ranges. A great town to visit however as we had to pay $470 to replace a damaged tyre due to large pot holes on highway one we were far from impressed with. It was reported in the media at the same time twelve other motorist experienced the same which does not reflect very well on the area to for travelers. The positive side however was the great service Neil at the Goodyear Tyre Centre assisted us with to get one in for us over night.Guest review byJohnAustralia - 10.0

We enjoyed our recent stay at Warrnambool Discovery Park. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Great clean amenities all over the Park. Used the laundry and dryer facility. Warnambool is a big country town vibe.
Warnambool is a big country town vibe. It is very relaxing and the deep blue hot springs are Devine. There are a lot of local cafes (koko avenue was where we tried this time,)and pubs that have delicious food. The scenery and beaches are so beautiful and always nice and clean. Its a nice spot. Plenty of sightseeing to do, whale watching if your lucky. Plenty of takeaway eating places . Maritime museum. Its a fair sized town so there are lots of places to get grocery's . Tower Hill volcano well worth a look.. Just a tip, check the weather ,we went in June and it was quite cold, but to be expected in winter!Guest review byRichardAustralia - 10.0

Thank you very much, we were very well, the reception was friendly. The facilities were very good with everything we needed, everything was very clean. The place is on Raglan which is an avenue full of beautiful trees. The location is close to everything, downtown, beaches, restaurants. The public transport was excellent with friendly people like Josh from route 1 and 2 who gave us rides and advice on where to go.
