The Entrance is a beautiful place with lovely views and local people. There are great shops to walk along and browse and plenty of options for something to eat and drink. There's a great children's playground and a water park feature also. There is also timed sessions for Pelican feedings. Definitely recommend The Entrance, it is a great family friendly place to stay.

This beachside town has suffered similarly to many others in the off tourist season with many premises being closed down, dirty streets and hoodlum car operators driving around. Whilst we were able to enjoy some good service from eateries attended the general feel of the town is not overly pleasant, possibly added to by not so great weather during our visit.

The Entrance looks tired.
The Entrance looks tired. It has so much potential but many of the motels are old or unloved. There was no opportunity to paddle board and all the boats for hire looked like they needed some upgrades. There seems to be very little development happening.
We loved eating in all the local restaurants and I’m glad that the permanent shade shelters have been installed outside most restaurants.

The Entrance is a like finding gold in a gold mine.
The Entrance is a like finding gold in a gold mine. Its such a beautiful place, whether you are caravanning, camping or holidaying in a resort or apartment it suits everyone's needs. offers so much and often above your expectations. Its a place you find and want to come back every year to build memories. GREAT PLACE TO HOLIDAY AT, AND POSSIBLY A GREAT PLAVE TO EVEN LIVE IN, IF HAD THE OPPORTUNITY.

The Entrance waterfront and restaurants are great but further afield, things aren't the way they used to be. Many shops have closed and those that hadn't, open late. There is not one good bakery for example.

Nice place with great scenery and beaches almost everywhere you go. Quite laid back. Unfortunately we did see the memorial part come to life as activities were cancelled for the weekend we were there. Overall it is a great place to go to with family for a short holiday.
We absolutely loved the property. It was stunning & having the ocean view from the balcony was magical. I booked this 5 months in advance and was so excited to head up for the weekend. This property did not disappoint at all. The property was very clean & comfortable. We all very much enjoyed our time at the entrance and staying in this gorgeous penthouse. We will be definitely booking again in the future. Thank you for providing such a gorgeous place.
This hostel is spotlessly clear with friendly staff and in a wonderful location. Nearby are perhaps a dozen restaurants with international food. Within easy walking distance there is a beach with lifeguards in season. The seaside is lined with $200+ a night luxury accommodation but you only pay about $35 for the same attractions. The kitchen had everything you would want. You can park within metres of the rear entrance.
Driving Falls Creek to Brisbane so just needed a place to sleep halfway for 6 hours or so and this was perfect. Value for money for a clean bed with hot shower (shared) but just what I was after. Holly, the manager, was friendly and very helpful when I needed an extension lead to charge my phone as the power points were to close to the floor to use my only charger which was oversize with multiple USB ports.
Pool was great as was the location of our room. Breakfast buffet was also easily accessible and we added this onto our visit on the last day. Coffee from barista was also great. Was apprehensive on arrival as alot of reviews about this place were quite negative but in turn helped our visit exceed our expectations as we had no issues or negative experiences at all!
The location on the beach with views of the ocean were glorious. It was a quiet and peaceful area, and a lovely place to unwind. The apartment was huge, nicely appointed and had everything we needed. Short walk to access beach and lovely cafe, and a comfortable walk over the bridge to the busy side of the Entrance with lots of shops, restaurants etc
Being so close to the ocean, it was very quiet. The room was very clean and comfortable. Added bonus was the spa which was situated so you could open the shutters and see the ocean while relaxing. Very impressed with this hotel will be my hotel of choice at the Entrance.
Everything is excellent. I will come back again to that place. Even their restaurant have the best food. I am so happy that it is a quite place but near the town. I have been to The Entrance I did not know that there is a place perfect for my options.
Usual high standard of Ibis Styles comfort, direct connection and free membership of Diggers Club next door, this has a good restaurant, close to The Entrance Shops, cafes and beach. Easy parking right in front of hotel entrance. Very helpful staff.
The rooms we were allocated were overwhelming with cigarette smoke to the point I was wheezing. The Aircon and ladies amenities were out of order. This accommodation is not suitable for adults, let alone children.
We were surprised by the roominess of the studio apartment and the facilities were extensive. It is located in the heart of the Entrance restaurant strip and walking distance to the lakeside pathways.
It's always a great location - with everything The Entrance has to offer in easy walking distance. The quality is always reliable and the rooms were well-sized and the kitchenette was well furnished.
We’ve stayed here several times and love the location and accommodation. Cabins are newly refurbished and very clean and comfortable with a short walk to the beach.Very friendly staff too.
Some confusion with key pick up. Went to mail box as instructed from email but found in lock box which read as “out of hours” collection
Otherwise lovely stay!
2 bedroom apartment was better than described, easy parking and right in the heart of The Entrance with very easy access to the foreshore and cafes/shops
