Great location. Lady who I spoke to when I got there was lovely.
To comercial . Local council likes to jam parking meters everywhere you go so they can milk money out you, this totally discourages stopping anywhere to visit local shops. The boat ramps even had metered parking , people would like to have an unlimited day out in their boat and not be concerned about how much it will cost. Disgusting greed.

What a darling place to visit with friends!
What a darling place to visit with friends! If you're looking for a quiet girls weekend/getaway there are multitudes of great restaurants and cafes, lots of homeware shopping and boutiques, and lots of massage and nail salons. So awesome, would go again in a heartbeat.

The whole area is beautiful, with many beautiful beaches, waterways and National Parks. Whether you want to swim, bushwalk, bird watch, get into photography, go boating, dive, explore, whale or dolphin watch, visit nearby islands or just simply relax, Nelson Bay/ Port Stephens Area is awesome. It has Great places to dine, my favourites Sirenas Seaside at d'Albora Marina, The Deck at Soldiers Point and Bubs Seafood also at the marina. My last holiday there, I really needed to relax. I had 9 days of perfect weather, ocean swimming, beach and bush walking everyday. Getting pampered at Sirene Spa Shoal Bay everyday, either with massages or sauna and spa.

Great selection of restaurants, cafes & bars within easy walking distance, particularly enjoyed Mavericks for the food, location overlooking the Marina and friendly staff. Large Woolworths to get all of your food for self-catering. Great local bus service to see the wider area plus ferry to Tea gardens and Dolphin cruises - what is not to like! The staff at the Tourist Information office were very helpful.

Nelson Bay is one of my favourite spots in the Australian coast so far, it is relaxing with beautiful beaches like One Mile Beach and Birubi Beach. There is good night life if you go to Shoal Bay and also good restaurants.

I visit Nelson Bay regularly for the last 26 years.
I visit Nelson Bay regularly for the last 26 years. It has become a very advanced tourist destination where people can find different options for entertainment and relaxation. The Port Stephens area in general, is beautiful and has many attractions, like dolphin and whale watching, game fishing or just recreational fishing from many good spots, sporting and adventure facilities and variety of accommodation for every budget. This time, I was more impressed by how green the area was, due to recent frequent rainfall.
The hotel is located in the middle of Nelson Bay, close to supermarket (4 min walk for Woolworths), restaurant and bar.
They have the parking in site, that it is an extra bonus.
Room was big, clean and nice.
The pool wasn't too big but comfortable and with the BBQ facility
Although there is limited storage space we managed. We have been here about 3 or 4 times and we like the premises. We have also stayed in Nelson Bay and at other more expensive ones but feel that this is fine. It is also close to Shoal Bay, Fingal Bay and Nelson Bay.
Right on the Nelson Bay harbour front was our cool accommodation, perched above the very popular Seabreeze Hotel. The nautical theme abounds in this stylishly renovated hotel, and our room boasted an expansive King bed with pretty park and harbour views 🌲⛵
Location, room and the bed were very good. The room included a lounge area and a small kitchen with lots of appliances. We did enjoy our stay and the hotel was close to town and the Nelson Bay boat harbour.
This was our second visit to Beaches Serviced Apartments and again it suited our needs perfectly. Within walking distance to Nelson Bay, Little Beach, Shoal Bay and surrounds. Quite location and very clean.
Tallean Hideaway is fresh, stylish and immaculate with so many thoughtful and unexpected extra touches. It’s a short walk and even shorter drive into beautiful Nelson Bay shopping, cafes and beaches.
Short distance from Nelson Bay shops, parking available close to unit, the view, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, kitchenette, lockbox for key, cleanliness and presentation on arrival, free WiFi.
The cleanliness was outstanding! Every gadget you could need was in the property. Location was perfect, halfway between Shoal Bay and Nelson Bay. Also beach access is right there.
The view and location were amazing, and it was very clean. Loved how much thought it's been put into decorating this house. You actually feel your on holiday and so relaxing.
The location was OK just a 10 minute walk down into town where the shops and restaurants are. We didn’t eat at the hotel. The hotel needs a renovation of the beds were poor.
