Great location. We stayed in the house/apartment with a great view and very roomy
Had a lovely Chinese birthday dinner at RSL. Great variety and service.
Lunched at couple coffee shops,
Saw Woolies and Aldi, even though we did not need them.
Booked for luncheon cruise to Metung, but had to cancel - VERY sad about that. That is a MUST do while there. Easy walking around when weather is good.

Lakes Entrance is a lovely place to visit.
Lakes Entrance is a lovely place to visit. I prefer out of season myself as I am older and on my own and it is quieter at that time. Great eating at the Central Hotel and the nearby coffee shop. (Bloody Good Coffee). There are lovely beaches and plenty of things for families riding tracks and mini golf. I enjoyed the boat cruises with Peels Cruises. The 70k was wonderful and then the lunch at Metung never disappoints. I think they are good value too. A good supermarket and other small shops. There is also lots to visit around the area and not far from Bairnsdale.
Well worth a visit........ weather is also surprisingly good all year round.

We were using Lakes Entrance as a stopover on our way to Sydney.
Very pleased with the area.
It was easy to walk around and had a good array of eating establishments - we had Fish and Chips from one of the local shops. the flathead was fresh and well cooked and the owners were very polite.
This is the case with most places.
Kudos to the Visitor Information Centre and the lady who served us

Lakes Entrance is a lovely small beach town.
Lakes Entrance is a lovely small beach town. We were glad to see that it hasn’t become built up like other popular coastal areas. There are a few good options for food. The beach is beautiful and the coastline goes on for ages allowing you to have really lovely and Long Beach walks. There are heaps of opportunities for nature walks and a nice winery nearby. Highly recommend for a short trip!

There is heaps to do in nice weather with plenty of eateries and cafes. Beaches are great and theres many points of interest within a short enough drive of the main town such as Buchan Caves and the Metung Hot Springs and the old Stoney Creek Trestle Bridge is worth a look too. Its a very scenic place with walks aplenty and fisherman are spoilt for choice with or without a boat.
Love the 2 bedroom apartments. Perfect for a family with teenagers or if you have friends to travel with. Nice and warm, despite the chilly night. Balcony had an amazing view of the North Arm anytime of the day especially in the morning. Both bathrooms were fabulous, loved the makeup specific washer as well (not something most hotels give you). Coffee, tea, sugar and a tiny milk supplied for arrival (which is enough for a 1 night stay) Look forward to staying here again.
This is our favourite place to stay in Lakes Entrance. We like booking an apartment so you don't feel cramped. Stayed in quite a few motels/hotels/cottages in Lakes Entrance but as I said before, this one is our favourite. We have one more night for this booking. (We had an unexpected death in the family which resulted in us having to cancel our October holiday - which is why I haven't reviewed as we just came last Tuesday.
It was clean, comfortable and had a homely feel. The beds were super soft and slept great! We have been to a lot of different places, and the beds were like sleeping on wooden boards. But, the beds at Allambi were fantastic! The pool is solar heated and extremely clean. We were in there for hours. My family were so happy there, we didn’t want to go home!
When we visit lakes entrance again we will definitely be staying here.
Great hotel, SUPER friendly proprieters who were full of helpful advice (and the husband actually cleaned our car windscreen in the morning as an extra!)
Also very comfy spacious room and the pool is really nice too. :)
Finally, super excellent location right in Lakes Entrance on the shoreline. Very enjoyable stay, definitely recommend.
The Lakes entrance bag and local deals, we utelised the segway discount and the use of the swim centre/gym sauna which was great as the weather was not great for the beach.
We forgot to use the discount at funky monkey which was recommended for breakfast and it was great!
The location is so easy to walk to everything we needed and quiet.
Our room, an extension of the main house, had a nice bohemian atmosphere with a view of the water in the distance. You could hear animals bleating outside. Breakfast was basic with ingredients provided for a continental breakfast that you prepared yourself. The room could have used some loving care.
The property was simple. No frills but comfortable for what we needed. I loved the art work. The chairs are super comfy in the lounge. We want to know where we can get some. The location is the best. Quite clearly the best place to stay if youre visiting Lakes Entrance
Very comfortable, quiet and reliable. About 10 to 15 minute drive and visit relatives and Lakes Entrance. Good base for visiting regional areas of interest. Didn't see staff due to covid non contact provisions but they were contactable.
The decoration of the house is fabulous, European style. My family likes the house a lot, especially the old-style fire stove burning with woods. We also like feeding the king parrot everyday. What a beautiful bird!
It was the best hotel room I have stayed in it was clean and spacious. Provided ironing board and iron. generous size bathroom good quality linen etc. The staff were very friendly
Very nice hotel. Clean and chic. Our room was big enough for our family of 5. We enjoyed the indoor pool and spa. Accessible to shops and cafes. Highly recommended!
Good location, great size rooms and they upgraded our family from a quadruple room to two connecting rooms. The rooms had everything we needed for our short stay.
The kids loved the pool which was kept very clean.
We selected this hotel because it had a room large enough for a young family.
Kitchen facilities were good.
The hot spa outside and game room were bonus for the whole family, especially for 2 and 5 year old grandsons. The entire house was very spacious and clean.
