Beach and surf town with a very relaxed atmosphere.
Beach and surf town with a very relaxed atmosphere. There are many restaurants, but the very best food is outside the city in a place called Cafe com Cacau. The food and the people there are worth a trip to Itacare. For tours, you have only two options, in my opinion - Dona (Sra.) Cida, a 74 years old lady who will show you the beauties of Itacare beaches and forests. And Leo, he is a master tour guide who is born and raised in Itacare, he knows every place and everyone in town.

The apartment was perfect for what we needed, a little kitchen for cooking and a very comfy bed. It's extremely central but you can't really hear anything from the busy street outside. The staff were very friendly and accommodating the whole time and cleaned our room, changed the towels etc twice over the course of our 5 night stay. Also a big plus that the room is air conditioned. Would recommend anyone to stay here for their time in Itacare 🙂AmyIreland

I love the fact the it can be a mess in the city center and when you come back to lah selva after a tiring day, you will always come back to a peaceful environnement graced by the sound of the waves. Not to mention that everything was on spot, clean, tidy and Larissa who manages the places is an absolut gem of a person and will attend all your needs with a big smile. Close to the center (15mn by walk) it offers a beautiful view on the river and the bungalows are very comfortable. Breakfast was good and the pool adds a little plus if you want to relax after the beach. We were welcome by Natalia who made our stay very pleasant. She gave us all the information needed about the area and was very kind to us. She also helped us organize a tour in the mangrove (which is a thing to do!)
