There was special chocolate candy in our room upon our arrival and even treats in the lobby area each day. We appreciated being able to make hot tea (and coffee) in our room and the thoughtful beverages provided for us in the mini-fridge. The boxed breakfasts were pleasant treats each morning.
Our room was quiet--we didn't hear other guests. We really liked the two-room suite. The bed was very comfortable, and we enjoyed sitting on the sofa in the other room either reading or watching TV after we came home from the theater. We were pleased to discover that we had the ability to use our Netflix on the TV.
Just 5 minutes’ drive from Stratford city center’s theaters, shops and restaurants, Majers Motel features a fridge in each guest room and access to a seasonal outdoor pool.

Breakfast was coffee and muffins/ coffee cake. It’s an older motel but it has been updated and very clean. Staff very kind and accommodating. I do recommend this motel. Much more economical than in town.
Travelers Motel is conveniently located a 3-minute drive from the Stratford Festival Theater. It offers free Wi-Fi access throughout and room with a cable TV.

A pleasant small town even in winter with enjoyable seasonal lights along the river and downtown. A relaxed friendly atmosphere in all the stores and restaurants/cafes we visited. Interesting older buildings in some of the local neighbourhoods.

I liked little place, called Soup Surreal, very cozy, Stratford Thai Cuisine, and Bowl something, sorry, can not remember now.
I travelled easy all across town with city bus, drivers very friendly and helpful.
I do not think of anything, I would avoid.

Always a great visit.
Always a great visit. We go almost every year and see two plays each time and have yet to be disappointed. Stratford is great place to relax, have good food and quite evenings. Don't miss the Stratford Perth Museum, a great learning experience about Stratford! If you have a bit of extra time visit Saint Marys. And, if you like Indian cuisine don't miss Raja Fine Indian Cuisine.
The Stone’s Throw Stratford is a very beautiful place. It is tastefully and beautifully decorated inside and has a lovely accessible garden outside. The property is comfortable and the hosts are very friendly and accommodating. They are available on site should one need information or assistance; they are helpful but in no way intrusive. Downtown Stratford is but a very short “stone’s throw” away. We would recommend the Stone’s Throw Stratford to anyone looking for accommodation in Stratford.
This BnB is truly a hidden gem in Stratford! It is located in a perfect spot, within walking distance to everywhere. The BnB itself is wonderful; the interior is full of Stratford's history. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The breakfast, a complimentary home-style meal prepared by the owner A.J., was excellent. Thank you so much for giving us such a wonderful experience in Stratford. I’d definitely recommend this BnB!
It’s a fantastic place to stay at near Stratford. The room is big, clean and has everything we need. The bathroom floor was newly renovated. The bed and pillows are comfortable. The AC is strong and quiet. It’s located on Ontario Road (Hwy 8). Just 7 mins from Stratford and there are restaurants, Walmart and supermarkets within 2 min. By the way, their outdoor pool and poolside sitting area is fantastic! Mike is awesome!
This is our second stay, this year on the main floor and last year upstairs. Both rooms were very well appointed, clean, and the concierge both times were attentive and helpful. The location is not right down town but an easy walk. Stratford is a lovely place to visit, and walking the residential areas was very pleasant, with many lovely gardens. Of course, we came to see plays/musicals, and they are excellent.
I liked the location being right down town Stratford, and the free parking close to the hotel. All the staff that I came in contact with from check in to check out were wonderful, helpful and efficient. The entire room, including the facilities i.e. shower and jet tub, were super clean. The fireplace added a nice touch to the room, and the King sized bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows.
The management was helpful and accommodating. There was a glitch in the arrangement and it was dealt with promptly and with grace. We loved having the kitchenette since being frugal vegetarians it doesn't work to have all meals in restaurants (though there is a gourmet vegetarian restaurant a block away). We enjoyed being a block from the Avon Theatre and in the midst of historic Stratford.
Eric and Sharon were fantastic hosts. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was memorable, and even found a dinner reservation for us on New Year’s Eve when we thought we were out of luck. Their breakfast is top notch and entirely made in house, too. If you find yourself in Stratford, I highly recommend staying at Tranquil Days!
An excellent hotel located at the edge of downtown Stratford. It is within walking distance to everything except for the Festival Theatre, which lies a bit outside of the downtown core. The rooms are large, the staff is helpful, and there is an onsite restaurant, which has a small but very good menu. We definitely would stay here again.
The room was clean, the air conditioning worked well and all in all it was a comfortable place to stay. A quiet location adjacent to a corn field behind the facility with a good space of green and a pool in the center area, keeping road traffic at bay. A very pleasant stay for a visit to Stratford.
coming into Stratford Ontario, we were greeted by the manager Brandan, who gave us perfect instructions to get to the inn! The Thomas Edison Inn is very charming and filled with a lovely energy much like Stratford itself. We loved our stay, the room was the best. We highly recommend a stay!
Breakfast included some wonderful farmfresh eggs, apple juice, banana bread and homemade jam. It was real treat to stay in an historic house in a rural area just outside Stratford. Bruce and Ilya were extremely friendly and interesting hosts. I would highly recommend to others.
A beautiful gem of a hotel. Large, luxuriously appointed rooms, elegant public spaces, and beautifully landscaped grounds. Wonderful staff with shoutouts to Bram, Rebecca, and Philip for their exceptional service and attentiveness to even the smallest details of our stay.
Cozy, comfortable accommodations in a quiet, rural setting. The owners were friendly and helpful and the grounds surrounding the motel are lovely. Close to Stratford and everything we wanted to see.
On the outskirts of Stratford, this is an ideal location for seeing the region as well as a base from which to make trips to the theatre. Our host was very friendly and a pleasure to talk with.
The location was spot on for theatres, shops and dining. The hotel staff was efficient and friendly. The amenities in the room were comfortable, clean and spacious. Will stay here again.
The hotel is over priced for facilities and I got a better room by booking thru Booking.com but no points on my frequent traveler card. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND or stay there again
