Excellent location. Within walking distance from Hangzhounan (South) Railway Station, which also has plenty of buses and a subway station, so it is very easy to get anywhere in the city. I have to say that given the hotel is a Sheraton, the detail of the room wasn't what I would expect. The towels and bedding weren't as nice as I would've liked.

    My favourite City in China used to be Beijing, then I went to Hangzhou. What a wonderful city to explore. So much to see and do. My highlights were Zhu Bingren Museum of Contemporary Art in Hefang Street, the main tourist street. It's amazing bronze and metal work art. Another highlight was the Nansong Deshou Palace site museum. Excellent. The Westlake is beautiful, as are all the lovely parks around it. Easy to walk around and well lit at night. Very safe. The silk museum was also worth the visit. Otherwise, just mingle with the people, try the variety of foods and snacks on offer and enjoy the beautiful Chilled City of Hangzhou.

    our 5 day stay was just right for our purposes visiting...

    our 5 day stay was just right for our purposes visiting family. The local attractions - West Lake; Longjing tea village - means for general tourists a stay of 2 days would be sufficient to see the sights and get a good sense of the place. As there are few organized tours, book a car and guide to make the most of the stay.

    From the moment I arrived I liked the feel of the city.

    From the moment I arrived I liked the feel of the city. It was warm and friendly. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best during my stay therefore I didn't see as much as I would have liked. What I did see didn't disappoint. Apart from the known tourist attractions there was also a lovely shopping precinct near the lake for those who like labels and fashion. Also small stalls selling well made and original handicrafts.

    Hangzhou is a city you must visit in China.

    Hangzhou is a city you must visit in China. It has culture, history, spectacular scenery and delicious food. The world famous west lake is right in the center of the city. There are so many activities you can do in Hangzhou, walking or riding bike along the lake, hiking, visiting Linying Temple, meeting friends in tea house, shopping and dining etc.

    Hangzhou is the city full of great and fantastic places to visit. The choices of restaurant are great. The experience of evening and morning visits at the West Lake offered great memories. The public transport and Taxi rides are affordable in comparing to Western price. In summary, the city offers travellers and visitors thousands wonderful memories.

    The location of the hotel is a very convenient just across the West Lake. It was nice strolling along the West Lake day and night time. Beautiful scenery. The food served at the popular Hangzhou Restaurant was delicious. The Lingyin Temple attracted a lot of visitors although we arrived a week after the week-long National Day Holiday. A day trip from Hangzhou to Wuzhen Water Town was memorable.

    We have very much enjoyed the stay and would definitely come back again! We picked this hotel because the building has a wonderful location between of the West Lake and the Linying Temple, but the stay went way beyond our expectation and added greatly to our time in Hangzhou. The room was very nice and artistically decorated. The host did an amazing job providing us with helpful information, delicious local breakfast, fresh fruits during day, and thoughtful souvenir during the traditional Chinese holiday.

    What a lovely budget hotel in a fantastic location in beautiful Hangzhou. The room was super comfortable, and the desk team was very helpful and efficient. It is an excellent choice for exploring the old town. There's a bus stop right at the door. And the metro is also close. But you don't need to walk far to the wonderful old town and dozens and dozens of fabulous shops, cafes, and restaurants. Also close to the lake - an easy 20 minute walk

    We didn't have breakfast at the hotel because there were so many eating places around the hotel. We liked the fact that there were many restaurants around the hotels and the area even the backstreet was quiet but safe. The people in Hangzhou were very friendly. The train station was just right in front of the hotel.The hotel has a couple of waching and drying machine that I found really helpful.

    Nice hotel in very attractive localization. Close to the West Lake, restaurants and shops. Very good relation to what you get at this price. Very nice and helpful staff. The room was very clean and this state was maintained by the staff during my stay. I was allowed to stay longer without and extra charge - very rare nowadays.
