Close to the house are organic food/wine stores, supermarkets, bakeries, bars, restaurants, cafes, book shops, pharmacies, and hair salons. Two large green spaces, "Volkspark Humboldthain" and "Schillerpark" are in walking distance. Berlin Hauptbahnhof is 10-odd minutes away by S-Bahn. In case you prefer taxis, there is a stand right outside the building. Berlin Tegel-Airport is 30-odd minutes away by S-Bahn and TXL-Express-Bus.
