Nerja is one of the nicest and most versatile destinations on the Costa del Sol. This atmospheric beach family resort lies 45 min. from Malaga and 1 hour from Granada. There’s relatively little high-rise development either here or among the white washed houses in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. There's about 12 (sand) beaches, a romantic historic centre and many restaurants. The 2 most famous attractions are the Balcon de Europa (viewing point) and the Nerja Caves. About 300 days of sun a year make Nerja also a perfect destination for low season and winter (with temperatures up to 18-20 degrees)! Nerja is a perfect starting point for day-trips to Malaga, Granada, Cordoba, Ronda and Seville. And -closer to home- you have the picturesque villages of Frigiliana, Competa, La Herradura, Almuñecar and Salobreña. Shopping is nice in Torre del Mar or Malaga. The apartment lies above Burriana Beach where there are many activities (kids and water) and here you can rent sunbeds. You'll also find a boulevard with lots of nice restaurants and shops.
