Casa 44 is one of the oldest properties in Alhaurin El Grande. A Casa Antigua, it has been reformed and transformed into a quirky yet sophisticated boutique bed and breakfast with a unique attention to detail. There are only 2 suites, Flamenco and Fandango, with a courtyard and sumptuous roof terrace. The 180 degree views are simply stunning and the sunsets, spectacular. There is a well stocked honesty bar, extensive amenities & toiletries in the rooms and above all, a sublime sense of relaxation. The décor is a sympathetic twist on the traditional, putting ambiance, comfort and service first!
Andrew and Brennan moved to Andalusia in 2018, having sold their award winning restaurant in Swansea. Andrew is originally from Wales and Brennan from Zimbabwe. With a combined 40 years experience in hospitality and design, they hope to offer their guests a unique experience in a beautiful location, They are currently on Channel 4, appearing in "A New Life In The Sun", series 4, filmed over 6 months in 2018 whilst creating Casa 44.
Alhaurin El Grande is an historic, living Spanish town. Situated only 25 mins from Malaga Airport, 30 mins from Marbella and in the heart of the Andalusian circle for access to Ronda, Seville, Caminito del Rey, Granada and Cordoba. Within a few minutes walk of Casa 44 there are over 60 bars and restaurants, historic churches, traditional patisseries, hiking trails, a contemporary library and theatre. The variety of bars and restaurants accounts for all tastes and budgets. Within the town, there are often tavernas offering a 3 course lunch with drink for as little as 7E. Live music, parades, fiestas, ferias and celebrations are abundant in Alhaurin.
