144 Lower Cheltenham Place is a Victorian terraced property in Montpelier, situated just North of the city centre and has been described by the Evening Standard as the ‘hippest place to live’ in the UK. 144 is a branch of the Full Moon Backpackers in Stokes Croft, containing six self-serviced apartments. All the light and airy rooms are furnished to high standard and decorated with unique pieces of art from local artists. Montpelier is surrounded by Stokes Croft, St Andrews and St Werburghs, all areas with many independent shops, cafés and restaurants to choose from. If street art is your thing, then you’re in the right place. There are still many pieces by the world-famous Banksy dotted all around the city. There’s also a massive food culture here, so whether you’re a vegetarian, vegan or a carnivore, there are plenty of good quality places to choose from. Most cater for all dietary requirements, so don’t worry if you are gluten-free, lactose intolerant or vegan, Bristol will take care of you.
