It’s ok felt very herded in the one way system and always having to move along, would love to have visited pre COVID, wasn’t able to wait outside of toilets on corridor. For partner so we didn’t lose each other Apparently due to COVID, however they wanted you to queue on the next corridor to visit shop!!!!
FANTASTIC cultural experience, but go early - we were in at 9.30am and narrowly avoided some enormous queues. PS take the free audio guide which contains gold mines of information not found in the exhibit.
We booked in advance for access as soon as the baths opened. It meant an early breakfast but was really worth it because as the day went on the baths got more and more busy. We had a chance to see everything close up at our own speed and without large crowds. I
Allow up to three hours for everything and use the free headphones for the museum, followed by a free guide in English round the baths themselves starting every hour. There is also a booklet for younger children to fill in if needed!
Enjoyed our time here. I would suggest going early and pre booking your tickets on line. We did and entry was very quick, the two of us were the first in and we were able to get photographs without people. Very informative audio guide although a little confused as to what number to push at times!
Fantastic. Well organised & informative which continued to entertain. Other towns & cities could learn a lot from the way this experience was conveyed to anyone who entered this special & unique place.
The apartment is in the Circus, which is a large traffic circle with rounded buildings built to look Roman/old world, even thought they're (only!) 250 years old. There is much dining/bars/culture within steps of the apartment and the city center and the Roman baths are only about a 10-15 minute walk. It comes with a parking pass, but parking is hard to find. Laundry facilities are available.
Amazing location, so central, within 5-10 minutes walk to everywhere in Bath such as the Roman Baths, the Crescent the Abbey, Thermae Spa, restaurants and shops. Beautifully furnished Georgian property, decorated very recently in a contemporary style and a surprisingly spacious apartment. Nespresso machine provided with capsules, bottled water in fridge and little traveller size luxury toiletries.
Royal Crescent is a truly luxury experience. The spa is exceptional. The grounds are absolutely lovely and the staff is attentive and creative. We had a very early 5:30am private excursion and they provided a boxed breakfast for the family. The location is a little removed from the hustle and bustle, but only a short walk to the Roman Baths. Highly recommend this lovely hotel.
The centre Location was excellent close to shops restaurants and the Roman baths, the apartment is fully equipped with every detail included, the bathroom toiletries were local and unique, the kitchen is fully equipped with all utensils, including salt pepper olive oil, milk water.
The location is perfect because you can branch out for any activity you want to do. The roman baths and Abbey are just 5 minute walk away from the hotel. The shops and cafés are within a 5 to 10 minutes walk circumference so it is really centrally located.
Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Hotel room was large with good facilities. Breakfast was good and had a reasonable range. Location was great and was 3 minutes walk from the shops and 5 minutes from the Roman Baths.
Very convenient to the train station. Short walk to the Roman Baths and Cathedral Square. Excellent full breakfast ! If you drive there is a parking lot close to the hotel.
The apartment was excellent and fresh. It is a very peaceful place with excellent facilities. The location is perfect as it's right next to the Spa and the Roman Baths.
Delighted to find an additional 'Bryson' commentary on the audio devices available in the Roman Baths as well as the more traditional narration.
The Roman baths made you feel like you were in Rome.
