Being met by a very helpful and friendly housekeeper! Ability to park at the property or the option of a permit for the nearby town carpark.

The property is situation in the centre of Stamford home to Burghley house and the famous Burghley horse trials. Stamford has just been voted best place to live 2024, and our house has actually been featured in the article!! Austin street is only 200 metres from the town centre but very quiet and peaceful. The green tranquility of the Meadows great for picnics and if you fancy it a walk next to the river. The house was refurbished in June 2022 with Emma mattresses, a king size bed and designed neutral decor. A hamper awaits you that includes some fizz and local bread from the famous Askers bakery with molten brown bath products. Black out blinds throughout ensure a rest full night sleep with electric blinds in bedroom 2. TV includes Netflix and Amazon prime as well as the latest x box s series with 4 popular games installed.
I have been coming to Stamford for over 20 years with my family and love the Georgian architecture, boutique shops and visiting Burghley House.
Stamford, named “The best place to live in Britain” by the Sunday Times, is a stunning Georgian town with plenty of individual shops, lovely restaurants and pubs and stylish homeware shops. Stamford is one hour from Stansted Airport and East Midlands airport. The house is located only 10 miles from the famous Rutland Water nature reserve, providing one of the most important wildfowl sanctuaries in Great Britain. There are over 30 bird watching hides and nature trails from two visitor centres with experts to help you with identification. Set in 4,200 acres of open countryside offering activities for all the family including sailing, fishing and bicycle hire. Only a 10 minute walk away is one of the largest and grandest houses of the first Elizabethan Age, Burghley House was built in the the 16th Century by William Cecil, the first Lord Burghley. A stunning house with extensive grounds, Orangery Restaurant, Garden Cafe, culture park and water garden is open to the public over the summer period.
