Lytham is a small town which you are able to walk around easily. Good hotels are limited and therefore the Clifton Arms does not have a lot of competition, on saying they it is a very good Hotel. Staff are exceptional and well into customer service. A delightful young man welcomed us at Reception and inform us that we had an upgrade. Breakfast was a little disappointing (menu suggested otherwise). As I do not eat meat and therefore excluded the bacon and black pudding one would have thought that the plate would have therefore had more of what I choose - not the case. All in all a good Hotel - Staff make it a Great hotel.

We stayed in a beach front flat , it was close to the main shops and the beach. Walking is easy as everywhere is flat. It was difficult to find somewhere to eat as the town was very very busy, which wasn’t a problem to be honest we were so impressed to see everyone out having a great time, good for the local economy.

Lytham town is quaint & has lots of lovely cafes & bars. There are all kinds of shops, many very classy. St Anne`s shopping area is not quite as good but it leads straight to the pier & beach area. Lots of nice walks. Fairhaven lake area very pretty.

Lovely modern newly renovated hotel & rooms, right in the heart of Lytham Square with all its restaurants, bars & shops, literally on the doorstep. Room was clean & modern, with a walk in shower, beds were really comfy. There was tea/coffee making facilities along with a super quiet fan and a hanging rail and shelf for your clothes. As the hotel is unmanned we only saw the cleaners the morning we were leaving, everything else was done efficiently via email/phone. Really enjoyed our stay and would return.

We have just returned from our one night stay at Howarth House and we are very happy. Check in was smooth, we were greeted by a very friendly face and we were allocated to room 4. The room was beautifully presented at the front of the property and we had everything we needed included. We had a good sleep, and woke to a delicious full English breakfast. I didn’t want to leave! If we ever return to Lytham I will definitely return to this hotel. Thank you!

Beautiful hotel. Excellent restaurant facilities. Comfortable and spacious. Well designed and decorated. Same for the bedroom. Really nice, tasteful and luxurious. The en-suite appeared to be brand new. Everywhere exceptionally clean. All the staff were outstanding. Exceptional views over the estuary particularly at sunrise and sunset. Only about 50 yards from Lytham High St with its lovely shops.

The room was adequate for our stay, clean and was quiet but the hotel was not busy due to the time of the year. The breakfast was plentiful and hot. The location of the hotel was perfect for trips into Blackpool or Lytham, or just to hang about in St Annes. Plenty of parking, but again, it is was off season!
