I'm passionate about art and food, and not necessarily in that order. I'm also a mother to two adventure loving explorers (aged 12 and 10) who are well on their way to unearthing the magic hidden all over the West Wight, exactly as I did as a child. I really enjoy sharing my love for this spectacular coastline and this little corner of paradise with my guests. Happily, the area really sells itself. We have been holidaying in the area for over 40 years, and know the area very well. We have some great recommendations for things to do, and places to eat, which we will send you before arrival. Some of the time we will be in the area to meet you, but at other times not. However we will be fully contactable for any questions you may have.

Coastguard cottage in a idyllic location between the beach and a woodland conservation area on stunning coastline. Beautiful walks, fantastic views, gorgeous sunsets over a historical Fort next door. Perfect for family holidays and groups of friends.

Neighborhood info

The cottage is nestled between the Fort Victoria Country Park on one side, and the beach on the other. It's a very calm and peaceful location, with incredible walks right from the doorstep through the woodlands, and stunning sea views from the cottage and the huge sea side green at the front. The fort next door is a Victorian era coastal defence building, which has been repurposed as a group of tourism destinations - a reptilarium, a planetarium, and an 'imaginarium', as well as a cafe and an information point for the nature next door.
