Harbour Hotel & Spa Christchurch, hotel in Christchurch

Perfectly positioned at the water's edge, overlooking one of Dorset's most picturesque estuaries, Harbor Hotel & Spa Christchurch features a 2 AA-Rosette restaurant and a luxury modern spa.

The view from the restaurant is fabulous and I really enjoyed being able to sit outside to eat for both breakfast and dinner. Looking out over water while you eat is just perfect! All staff were excellent. Loved the complimentary Gin and tonic in the room! The pool and spa area was clean, pleasant and very relaxing but unfortunately the hot tub wasn't working while we were there.

The Kings Arms Hotel, hotel in Christchurch

This stylish hotel is in the center of Christchurch. It offers free Wi-Fi, free parking and luxury rooms with flat-screen TVs, DVD/CD players and iPod docks.

A delightful hotel, great location and the king rooms are very large and well appointed but the main difference is the staff. What ever their position it seemed that nothing was to much trouble and made our short stay very enjoyable. Although car parking is very limited, again they went out of their way to get us fitted in.

educatefirst, hotel in Christchurch

Offering a garden and a tennis court, educatefirst in Christchurch is close to Friars Cliff Beach and Steamer Point Beach.

Terrific location close to beauty spot, shops and restaurants and take aways. David was a good host. Very relaxed stay. In a very quiet street. 10/15 minute walk to beach and harbour. Easy to find the house. Easy access to own room via keypad code. Others staying at EF very pleasant to talk with. Host able to suggest activities and places to visit in the area. Able to sleep in and take time to get ready to go out in morning. Facilities as advertised. I watched a fair bit of tv in my room but my stay was in winter months.

Generally a very pleasing area to stroll around, the shops, the gardens by the castle ruins and the Rivers Stour and Avon. Interesting around the town Quay - the Medieval Place Mill, and lovely Quomps picnic area and swan activity added to its charm. We had our made-up picnic!

I was pleasantly surprised by Christchurch...nice sized town with a good selection of bars/pubs and restaurants. I would however, mention that we stayed on a Sunday night and a number of bars and restaurants were closed, which was a little disappointing

Friendly staff and breakfast was amazing.

Friendly staff and breakfast was amazing. Lovely decor and our room was comfortable with a large on-suite. All was super clean too. Nothing bad to say at all albeit I agree with another traveler that the bath was too high sided. I was fine but a less able person would find it difficult to clamber into.

Christchurch is a lovely place- my sister moved there 2 years ago and we are a large family so need other accommodation when we visit. The Avon ticked all the boxes and it was like home from home. Close to everything and not far from the beach. It is a beautiful part of Britain and unspoilt which I hadn’t visited before - usually going to Bournemouth. It is a must for families with Avon beach so clean and unspoiled with all the amenities you need. The New Forest is also so close.

Except that the hotel location was too far to walk into Christchurch the town itself is lovely especially the walks alongside of the river. Also as with every location along this coast parking fees are an issue and excessive

The pub/ hotel was very clean and very well maintained. Food was very good and freshly cooked and the plates were warm. All staff used a teatowel to bring the food to the table. All bar and restaurant staff, especially Sarah, were welcoming and friendly. One waiter even checked the gluten free needs of a customer. Our room was a little small but comfortable and had enough storage space. Best bit was being offered a flask of FRESH milk for our tea and coffee in our room. Will definitely stay again.

Amazing hotel will definitely be staying again. It’s quiet so no loud traffic, spotless rooms and great facilities in the bathroom. We weren’t able to see any staff members as we arrived quite late ( a code is given to enter the building and room which is amazing so you don’t feel pressured). We loved the stay and the area, we will be back again.
