You will immediately feel at home when you enter the Court Residence. Specially designed to meet the needs of corporate, leisure and tourists alike. Enjoy the extra space and flexibility, the friendly reception and daily housekeeping, and the value that the accommodation offers. Step back outside again to share in the wonderful sense of belonging and wellbeing Linlithgow has to offer. It’s safe and so easy to access anything you might want to see or do from here! And then there’s the bonus of free onsite parking.
Purpose built as the County Courthouse over 150 years ago in the very heart of Linlithgow Town Centre it has been newly and lovingly converted by your hosts into affordable luxury suites and apartments.
The building makes its own statement. “Prettily romantic Tudor style with steep pitched roofs and spiky chimneystacks by Brown and Wardrop (Architects) 1863” is how historians have described our property. Set in its truly wonderful location with contemporary styling, super-fast internet and large screen Smart LED TVs all help to blend the modern and old together to make it so special.
We come from generations of family involved in hospitality and farming and strive to do things well.
We particularly enjoy experiences that are genuine and authentic. Visiting the Royal Highland Show, Edinburgh Festival, exploring new places and cultures here and abroad are just some of the things we like to see and do.
Hazel loves her arts, crafts, books and helping others while Jim enjoys the business side of things, malt whisky tastings and also playing the piano and guitar when time allows. Both of us enjoy a challenge…….and good food!
Access to 60% of Scotland’s population and businesses within a 1 hour drive makes Linlithgow’s choices so interesting. From the best of traditional fish & chips in a box by the lochside , takeaways, pub food, cafes or bistros, fine dining, supermarket meals all within 200m, taking the car or a 4 minute walk to jump on the trains to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling or beyond to do as you wish, there’s something for every taste and budget. Here is one of the most desirable places to live in central Scotland for good reason.
Our favourite local places include the Loch, the palace, the peel, town hall art gallery, canal centre, Falkirk Wheel, The Kelpies as lovely places to take our West Highland terrier for a walk or places to visit when it’s wet outside.
Edinburgh, Forth Bridges, Stirling, Glasgow, Perth & St Andrews, Borders, Balmaha on Loch Lomond ( the quieter side of the loch) are all places that we can get to quickly and enjoy the different scenery, foods, arts and culture they have to offer.
