We are located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the quiet, rural village of Oakridge Lynch. The village is a thriving community with a popular local pub (The Butchers Arms), shop and post office. Flora and fauna abound and it is not unusual to see deer, pheasants, foxes and rabbits from the gardens of The Old Vicarage! We have several sites of special scientific interest within walking distance where rare orchids and butterflies can be spotted. At the bottom of the valley runs the old Severn and Thames canal, which provides lovely walks, as does the Wysis way that runs through the village. The area is also popular with cyclists with a variety of trails ranging in difficulty. There are many leisure activities on offer locally, including gliding and hot air balloon flights from nearby Aston Down, the multi award-winning Stroud Farmers' Market every Saturday morning and plenty of real country pubs serving excellent food and local ales in neighbouring villages. Within easy reach are many historic villages and towns including Cirencester, a pretty market town dating back to roman times. Cheltenham is 30 minutes by car, perfect for a day at the races or a spot of shopping!
