Its setting, solitude, space, surroundings. The cottage, a chocolate box image, lies at the end of a long, long drive. There is a tenanted property someway off but we never saw or heard anyone, just birds and a combine harvester.

    “There was nothing per se we didn't like. It would have be nice to have a starter pack for the log fire ready for us and the side light working as the front door didn't open.”
