Darcus Cottage is a charming late 18th-century townhouse located within the walls of the historic city of Derry/Londonderry. Tastefully restored and furnished, it offers an old-world ambience that harmonises with the requirements of modern living. Located on a quiet street in a conservation area, the Cottage faces St. Columb's Cathedral, the oldest building in the city. All of the main historical sites of Derry are within walking distance, as are numerous cafes, restaurants, bars and shops.
We enjoy renovating old buildings and adapting them for present-day holiday accommodation use while at the same time retaining as much of their character and ambience as possible. Our personal interests are reading, history, and travel.
The Cottage is located in one of the last remaining 18th-century streets in the centre of the old walled city. it is close to the main historical and tourist sites as well as to cafes, restaurants, and shops.
