    Lovely flat with great kitchen and bathroom facilities. All clean and easy check in. Location is less than walk from town and close to several pubs. It is up a hill but that's true of most of Matlock!

    Great location, short walk into Matlock (hill down and back up to the flat, no problem if you are mobile). Everything you need, clean, great access arrangement. Quiet area, pubs close by, great dog friendly place.

Newly refurbished small & cosy well laid out ground floor flat in a fabulous location which has a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. Within easy flat walking distance of bars and independent shops on Smedley St. A 5 minute walk will take you down to Matlock town centre. Don’t forget you’ll need to get back up again! The glorious Derbyshire countryside is right on your doorstep. Smedley Street has an external door code and and internal door code which we will send you prior to arrival. No keys, No Hassle! Parking outside the flat is free but limited to 2 hours from 9-5pm Mon-Fri (free all day Sat & Sun).
A local family who enjoy the great outdoors. There is an external door code and internal door lock code which you will be given prior to arrival. We live close so if you have any concerns or questions let us know. There are loads of adventures near by so please feel free to ask for recommendations of what to do or where to go. .

Please be aware that ground floor flat is within a building for permanent residents. If 4 guests are staying we recommend that it should be a family due to limited space. Please note, there is an additional charge per person per night for sofa bed usage & we kindly ask that people are considerate of the flat directly below. Situated just a few hundred yards from the River Derwent and only a 5-minute walk from Matlock town centre, where you will find a host of bars, restaurants and shops along a bustling high street full of character and charm. Smedley Street is also an ideal location for those who love the outdoors and adventure by exploring the delights of Derbyshire and the Peak District National Park with its many National Trust sights to visit. Matlock is the county town of Derbyshire and a former spa town situated on the River Derwent. The town is located on the edge of the Peak District National Park and is surrounded by spectacular hills and limestone cliffs. Today these cliffs attract rock climbers and the magnificent riverside setting in a steep wooded gorge, attracts walkers and canoeists. The Matlock Valley is honeycombed with caves and old lead mine workings, some of which are thought to date back to Roman times. The town is home to the Peak District Lead Mining Museum where you can take a tour of Temple Mine. This area witnessed the birth of the Industrial Revolution and visitors can still tour Arkwright’s water-powered cotton mill and Masson Mill. Today the area still welcomes many tourists to attractions such as Gulliver’s Kingdom theme park, Haddon Hall, Bakewell and Chatsworth House. Smedley Street is the ideal base!
