It's just a stone's throw away from the delights of Wells quay and Staithe Street with its numerous shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Wells-next-the-Sea is a bustling seaside town right on the North Norfolk coast. Meander up the narrow Staithe Street past the many independent shops and galleries. Lined with over two hundred beach huts, Wells beach itself is perfect for families with its soft sands and dunes (perfect for making sandcastles), backed by a pine forest. Equally it is a lovely place for couples wanting to find a quiet spot too. The Wells Beach Bus offers a service connecting the town and the beach – operating a route from the football club car park to the roundabout at the beach end of Beach Road. Dogs are also welcome aboard. The bus will run from April through to October each year. Don’t miss crabbing from the quay (you can enjoy endless hours of fun with a bucket and line), fish and chips from two of the best fish and chip shops around, or locally-caught seafood at The Crab House.
