You felt you were being looked after in a home rather than a hotel. The atmosphere was quiet, calm and attentive. Good to see outsiders using the bar too

This inn is so charming! It’s been around since the 15th Century and has original timbers still visible. The restaurant is a classic English pub serving cold ale and the best of English food (by which I mean Indian food). The breakfast that comes with the room is a full English.

The character or the pub the fact that it's 600 yrs old and still standing . The quirky walls and uneven floors make it an interesting place to stay . The food in the evening was excellent and the breakfast in the morning again perfect .

We found the Hall itself and surrounding gardens enchanting. It has vintage charm and modern convenience. Our Superior room was excellent with a spacious bedroom, luxurious linens and toiletries and a beautiful bathroom tucked in the eves. The name of the room was Mannington and I would recommend requesting it. We both thought the room was a good value. The dinner in the restaurant was truly exceptional in terms of fresh local ingredients and imaginative combinations of taste and texture.

Central location, luckily we had alternate place to leave the car which would otherwise be a problem. Room was a great size, clean and well furnished. Lovely bathroom. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty , with the bonus of the eggs being cooked on demand and not just sitting on a hot plate. Staff are all helpful and very friendly.

Where do I start? What a fabulous experience at this hotel. Excellent location, exceptional facilities, and overall a perfect place to stay in Thornham. Furthermore, Jonathan was easy to work with to correct a small, weird billing error that was no fault of his. This is what every hotel should be like - highest marks, deservedly so. Thank you!

We had a lovely stay, Beverley and Chris were so welcoming and friendly. The room was warm and comfy (and smelled great!). Delicious and varied breakfast options.

Great road side inn beautifully appointed with great food, especially the pies and of course the staff.

It’s like a fairy tale. The entire village is very quaint. The dinner and breakfast are excellent!
