An attractive whitewashed, 1840's old farm workers cottage, in the tranquil village of Kilham in the Yorkshire Wolds. Situated in a rural location midway between Bridlington and Driffield, near to the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Ladybird Cottage is ideal for couples or small families wanting to explore the stunning surrounding rolling countryside, or vibrant East Coast. Two bedrooms: 1 x king, 2 x single (bunk bed) Shower room with shower, basin and WC Kitchen Sitting room with dining area and double sofa bed Gas central heating Large flatscreen TV with Freeview, Netflix, radio, selection of dvds, books, games. TV in master bedroom with Netflix and Prime Video Electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, Fuel and power inc. in rent Bed linen and towels inc. in rent Travel cot and highchair on request Off road parking for 1 car and plentiful on street parking. Ladybird cottage is bright and cheerful with just a five minute walk to local amenities, including a village store and an award winning traditional village pub. Nearby, the bustling market town of Driffield offers a weekly market, a variety of shops and tempting tea rooms, and a collection of restaurants and pubs to enjoy. The vibrant seaside resort of Bridlington has blue flag awarded sandy beaches some of which are dog friendly year round, a pretty harbour and colourful gardens. Enjoy a stroll along the promenade, take a bird watching boat trip, or book a show at the Spa Theatre on the seafront. From Ladybird Cottage, there are excellent walking and cycling opportunities, including the Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Route. For the less energetic, spend an afternoon following the Hockney Trail, which inspired his famous paintings. Hull, City of Culture 2017, the beautiful city of York,the North York Moors and seaside towns of Whitby and Scarborough are all within easy reach, plus the area is peppered with historic stately homes, such as Sledmere House and Burton Agnes Hall.
