Meadowcroft is a genuinely wonderful place to stay. The cottage is spacious, presented in a calm, sophisticated style, so comfortable & spotlessly clean. The log burner was great for evenings. The garden is so beautiful. We weren’t very lucky weather wise but it’s a stunning setting with lots of outdoor seating. Great for families - board games, play park right behind, Wi-Fi. Well located for everywhere- we focused on Newby Bridge, Windermere & Coniston - all very local. Great communication with the owner. Thank you for letting us bring Mimi - our Maltese & for the thoughtful welcome pack. The owners have done a superb job of offering a holiday home which is welcoming & unique. We hope to return.

Just opened as a holiday let. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Take time to sit and breathe in the pretty garden. In winter cosy up in front of the log burner and watch your favourite programmes on Sky or a film on Netflix. For the more active amongst you Cartmel Fell is nearby and we are only a short drive to plenty of South Lakes walks. The local pub serving good food and drink is a 10 minute up hill walk away but the good news is it’s down hill coming back!
Set in a lovely peaceful village with a friendly local pub serving good food. There are no other shops in the village yet Grange over Sands is a 5 minute drive away where you will find an award winning butchers, a greengrocer, a number of lovely tearooms, Costa coffee, Tesco Express, Co Op, Spar and a variety of takeaways, in fact everything you really need. Next to the cottage is the village park great for all ages with a football pitch and skate park and plenty of space for all to enjoy. All serious foodies amongst you, check out the Michelin Star restaurants, L’Enclume, Rogan & Co at Cartmel and Heft at High Newton which all just a few minutes drive from the cottage.
