Moorgate View is located in the popular York suburb of Holgate. Everything is within easy reach- either on foot, bike, bus, taxi or car. The Rialway staion and the city centre are a 20 minute walk or 5 minutes by bus or taxi. There is a bus stop within 20 yards and the No.1 bus runs from early to late every 10 minutes to and from the Railway Station and the exhibition square (close to York Minster). The National railway Museum is close by as is York Racecourse which has regular meetings from May through to October. Park runs are held here every Saturday morning at 9am and there are also walks and cycle paths. There are numerous restaurants, cafes and bars close by on the Mount and Micklegate without having to go into York city centre, along with Everyman cinema which is a 10-15 minute walk away. A few minutes from the property is the popular local pub 'The Fox' with a large selection of local beers and a big beer garden. Holgate also has the oldest working five sailed Windmill in England, it produces it's own stone-ground flour that is available to buy on Saturday mornings
