Orchard Cottage is an immaculate, contemporary, detached cottage in the quiet Cotswold village of Alderton, where there’s a village pub, a small village shop and walks in all directions. The cottage is beautifully decorated with splashes of pleasing and reviving colours. It sleeps six guests in three bedrooms and is full of character, with great entertaining space in the spacious kitchen, living room and separate dining room. French windows open to a suntrap patio, with seating and a barbecue, leading to a long and secluded garden laid to lawn that’s perfect for children and dogs to run around. Alderton is a pretty village in the Tewkesbury district of Gloucestershire, just four miles from Winchcombe and Sudeley Castle, 15 miles north of Cheltenham, 15 miles west of Stow-on-the-Wold and within easy driving distance of Broadway, the Slaughters, and Cotswold Farm Park. The village has a small shop and Post Office and a local pub, the Gardner’s Arms. The area is superb for walkers, with two excellent circular walks from the doorstep to Dixton Hill and Dumbleton.
