About this property
An exclusive 42-bedroom luxury castle hotel. With 4 Red Stars and 3 Rosettes awarded by the AA for excellent facilities, this is the highest rated hotel in Yorkshire. Swinton Park is the ancestral home of the Cunliffe-Lister family and is set in 200 acres of parkland, lakes and gardens. The castle is surrounded by the family estate in which guests have access to a Bird of Prey Center, rivers, moorland and beautiful countryside bordering the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The restored Georgian stables have been converted into a state-of-the-art cookery school. The hotel has a civil license for weddings and 5 function rooms equipped for meetings, conferences and presentations. The Spa and Country Club has a gym, an 18-yard indoor pool and a hydrotherapy pool, steam rooms and a sauna. The spa garden offers an al fresco sauna and shower, as well as a 10-yard outdoor pool with bio-filtered water. The spa has 8 treatment suites and relaxation rooms. It offers many beauty treatments, including manicures and pedicures. Use of the spa facilities is not included in your rate, charges will apply. Breakfast is not included in the room rate - but can be booked/added for an additional charge.

Not all rooms are located in the main hotel. Guestrooms are located on the ground, first and second floors of the castle or coach house.
Please note the passenger elevator in the castle will be undergoing maintenance from Monday 20th January 2025 to Friday 31st January 2025. During this time, the only access to the first and second floors of the castle will be via the stairs. If you have any specific access requirements, please contact the hotel directly prior to booking.
Please note that spa access in not included in your room rate, however is bookable for an additional charge.
Please note that if traveling with children specific children's swim times apply - which are currently 9.30 am until 10.30 am and 4.00 pm until 5.30 pm - during this time children are permitted to use the indoor main pool under parental supervision.
