Hotel in Masham
Overlooking the Market Square in the small town of Masham, this charming inn is in a fine Georgian building of tremendous character, built in the second half of the 18th century. We had a room at the front of the hotel with a great view over the town square.

Swinton Bivouac offers glamping accommodations in the 20,000 acre Swinton Estate, located 4.2 mi from Masham. The property is set in the Yorkshire Dales, offering views of the surrounding countryside.... Breakfast was brilliant. General feel and location. Fires and provisions for the fire. Cafe was wonderful. Loved the games and maps for the kids especially the word search and scavenger hunt! It would have been nice to have electricity in the tent and a battery operated camping light. It was hard to see and get around with the candles at night. The blankets and throws were quite musty smelling. Also when we tried to use the hot tub it was like warm at 5.30. The shower was very hot. Too hot for the kids. The communal kitchen was not clean. But everything else was great.

An unspoiled traditional, small, Market Town with much character, set in the beautiful countryside of Wensleydale. Two breweries. Lots of lovely walks nearby. Ideal for walkers, cyclists or just passing through and looking at the views. Highly recommended.
Hotel was right in the market square with honestly box parking plenty of pubs and cafe minutes away in a central location to visit the surrounding areas we visited Bedale and Ripon access was great very dog friendly area our Cockapoo Teddy had a great time plenty of cuddles and attention
The staff were really helpful and courteous. The room was very clean and tidy. The restaurant was large enough to accommodate guests and friends without feeling cramped and the patio out back was quite good on a warm evening. overall we had a great stay at the Kings Head
Masham is a lovely relaxing place to stay. There are plenty of walks to do. Having 2 breweries is a bonus (Theakstons being our favourite brewery). The cafes and shops are very good. The Kings Head and White Bear serve great beer and food. There are plenty choices of accommodation to chose from, ie pubs, bed and breakfast and self catering. We never tire of Masham
You can' stay in Masham without sampling the delights of the two breweries! Set beside tranquil river with walks all around and others just a short trip away. Near to Dales National Park & plenty of stunning countryside close by and several tourist attractions within short drive. Local market twice weekly in Masham with others in nearby towns also.
We have always found Masham a friendly and welcoming place to visit and stay! Masham is also handy for lots of trips out and about! ie Brymore - delicious ice cream! Thirsk, Northallerton, Thorpe Perrow and that’s only a few!

This is the most wonderful property. We booked the Luxury Super Kingsize room.It was beautifully appointed with walk in wardrobe, spacious en-suite & fantastic power shower. The Welcome from Natalie was warm & friendly & she was very informative about the History of the house, places to eat & visit. The Yorkshire cooked breakfast was really good with eggs from her own hens. The position of the property was excellent too.Just down the hill from the Centre & near enough to walk to the Black sheep brewery. A really lovely stay.

Perfect accommodation for our family ! Appreciated the welcome touches on arrival ! Stunning views in peaceful location enhanced by beautiful weather . Our Grandchildren age 5 and 19 months loved the space to play safely ! Enjoyed local walks and a booking at Studfold adventure trail in nearby Lofthouse but didn’t really need to seek entertainment ! The hens and animals provided just that ! Thankyou Helen and Andrew

Everything was lovely, Sarah was super friendly and gave us some local suggestions on where to eat etc, its best to pre book dinners at the moment due to local pubs having smaller capacity The room was super clean and comfortable, i would 1000% stay here again if we come back to Yorkshire Dales. The breakfast was so fresh and tasty, i can't fault the place whatsoever! Oh and the view from the bedroom is stunning!

I was doing the paras 10 in Catterick garrison so this hotel was close by to travel to . All the staff were welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us . The food in the restaurant was 5 star and all the other customers there were very friendly and pointed us in the right direction for walking trails. Definitely recommend this hotel and I’ll be visiting again next year for the next paras 10

Stunning rural location with outstanding views in all directions. The yurt was super cute and comfortable. Kept nice and warm with a log fire. All bedding is there and they even leave you extra blankets. Staff were absolutely lovely, helpful and kind. Will definitely go back, the walks around near the bivouac are excellent. Doggos enjoyed their holiday too.
Masham
The location is great. Easy to park nearby. To be honest there is nothing really wrong with the apartment except that it is a bit old fashioned with a feel of the 1980’s. That in itself is not an issue - it’s just that the decor and styling don’t match up to the cost of the rental. You’d expect a higher spec for the price.
Masham
Jude and Chris were really lovely and helpful. We had a lovely time walking around Masham, we paid a visit to the Black Sheep Brewery and eat at the Bay Horse Pub later on in the evening - and we even had time for a bubble bath! We'll definitely stay at the Garden Room next time we're in Masham!
Everything about Swinton park is first class- estate grounds, hotel, bedrooms, spa and Terrace restaurant. The staff are friendly, welcoming and accommodating which creates a relaxed atmosphere in a very grand setting.
