An amazing accommodation. Beautiful decor and soft furnishings, of an excellent standard.. So many little thoughtful extras including a fruit and biscuit basket, water and excellent selection of beverages. We chose the breakfast and how wonderful that was when Kathryn brought it on the beautifully presented tray. We just couldn't have asked for more. We were even offered water for our journey. Such a lovely welcome from Kathryn and Mike.

The Gardens Room is a cosy self-contained detached annex located in a quiet retreat from which to explore the surrounding countryside. Our beautiful annex overlooks a pretty seating area and comprises of a deluxe double bedroom with king sized bed, bathroom with power shower. Separate lounge with an eating + refreshment area, TV and complimentary wifi. There is a village pub within short walking distance offering traditional food. Situated 2 miles from Southwell and its renowned Minster, where you will also find shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. It is an ideal location to stay if attending a function at The Vicarage Wedding Venue, Norwood Park or Southwell Racecourse. Also, for visiting Brackenhurst University Campus or the National Trust Workhouse. There are lots of beautiful country walks nearby including the Southwell Trail. Newark is a short drive away with a thriving market town with attractions including a Castle, National Civil War Centre, Saturday Market, the Air Museum and The Showground which hosts events all year. Newark has a variety of shops and eateries. In the wider area you will find Rufford Abbey, Sherwood Forest, Clumber Park, Nottingham and Lincoln.
Upton is a picturesque little village on the outskirts of Southwell town. Situated In the heart of the countryside our beautiful gardens room is surrounded by beautiful countryside walks but also linked to lots of amenities. We are located just a stones throw away from the well known Southwell racecourse which is ideal for those perfect day trips. Located just 2 miles away from Southwell you will be spoilt for choices from deli’s, shops, traditional pubs and restaurants. Within 6 mies you can reach Newark which also has lots of amenities and has lot for you to explore from markets, eatery’s, bars, reasturants and much more.
