Ludgershall has a ruined Norman castle, and an ancient medieval market cross. It is approximately 10 miles from the World Heritage Site of Stonehenge. The ancient medieval cathedral city of Salisbury is 18 miles distant. Winchester city and cathedral are a 30 minute drive. Avebury stone circle, another World Heritage Site is 19 miles away. Old Sarum castle, Wilton House, the old market towns of Marlborough, Devizes and Hungerford are also a 30 minute drive away and well worth a visit too.
