This delightful, 3-bedroom (sleeps 6), 2.5-bathroom country holiday home sits high up above the River Avon, overlooking Bath and the Avon Valley. The Stables at Batheaston has a spacious open-plan kitchen-dining-living room with a feature Cotswold stone wall, arched window, an internal Juliet balcony, a large woodburning stove and French doors opening out to a large, private garden with a patio and barbecue. Ideally located for visiting the historic city of Bath, just 5 miles away, and other nearby attractions including Corsham, Lacock, Bowood, Longleat, the Kennet and Avon Canal and Castle Combe, with beautiful country walks and cycling from the doorstep. There are 20 steps from the parking area to the entrance – these are lit by automatic lights but would make the property unsuitable for the less mobile. The upstairs bedrooms have sloping ceilings and the upstairs windows do not have restrictors.

The Stables is approached down a wooded driveway that leads to a large, dedicated parking area and steps down to the rear of the property. The Stables has fantastic views over the property’s rooftop towards mature trees and the Avon Valley below. It is a secluded, country retreat yet is only 5 miles from Bath and less than a mile from the centre of the village of Batheaston. The Stables sits high above the River Avon, just a mile outside the village of Batheaston, where there is access to the river as it winds its way through the beautiful countryside, a convenience store, Post Office, pubs and a beautiful riverside walled garden. The Stables is ideally located for visiting Bath, by car or local bus, Corsham, Lacock, Castle Combe, and the wider Cotswolds, and has fabulous country walks and bike rides to local sites of interest with pubs, including the hugely popular Bathampton Mill, en route.
