Our home is perfect for hosting, the floor that the room is on has all the essential amenities and is only shared by one other room for guests. Unfortunately we can’t change the property description that’s is controlled by booking,com this listing is for a private room in our family home. We are a non smoking household. We’ve got over 5 years of experience of hosting. We originally hosted international students and have recently changed to doing this. We are used to welcoming people into our home and will interact with you as much or as little as you are comfortable with. Although there is only three of us this is a busy noisy household. Not helped by the fact the house isn’t soundproof! The room is a perfect base for working, sightseeing or study.

Born and raised in Cornwall, I moved to beautiful Bournemouth to study and haven’t ever left! I now live in Christchurch with my husband, son and dog. We are both DBS checked for looking after under 18 students as host parents. We have a standard poodle, he’s kept separate in the top half of the house. He doesn’t have access to the floor you will be sleeping on except for going out to the garden. He’s a bit nervous of strangers, but very friendly.

There are two communal parks for residents. Plenty of free parking, beryl bikes and scooters are available for hire on the main road right next to the bus stop. We’re a 10 minute walk from Christchurch train station with great links to Bournemouth and Southampton. Christchurch itself is a lovely bustling town with shops, cafes and restaurants. There is also a beautiful green down on the quayside. Hengistbury head and Southbourne beach as well as the New Forest are all within easy reach.
