We are an experienced Holiday Let provider in the Bath area currently managing 4 high quality but very different furnished holiday lets. Our aim is to make your booking process and stay as pleasant and stress-free as possible. We pride ourselves in our level of service, attention to detail and quality of accommodation offered.

Property info

The Victorian Annexe was added to Beaulieu in the Victorian Era and now the Victorian Annexe is available as self catered accommodation in Bath. Beaulieu is a Georgian property that is lived in by the proprietors, and is the main house. The main house was believed to have been constructed in 1772 by Governor John Zephaniah Holwell, survivor of and author of the account of the Black Hole of Calcutta. The Harcourt Masters Turnpike map of 1776 clearly shows the land as belonging to Governor Holwell and, with Turnpike Maps being important legal documents, it is unlikely to be in error. Holwell sold the house to William Tickell, the Bath surgeon. There are alternative theories about the first owner. Some believe it to have been Richard Tickell (1751 – 1793) the English playwright and satirist, friend of Sheridan and husband of Mary Linley, one of the Linley sisters and member of the famous musical Linley family. A two storey extension was added to the west end of the property at some time between 1846 and 1884. It is likely that this annexe was used as servant’s quarters.

We are perfectly situated to enjoy the city of Bath, the surrounding countryside and all of the local attractions. If visiting for the first time – the must sees are the Roman Baths, No1 Royal Crescent, The Circus, Bath Abbey, Victoria Art Gallery, Holbourne Museum, the American museum and Bath Fashion Museum. There are lots of great places to eat. Our favourites are, the Garricks Head pub at the very centre of Bath, the King William Pub & Dining Rooms on London Road, The Hare & Hounds at the top of Landsdown Hill, The Marlborough Tavern at the end of Marlborough Buildings and the Pig just outside of Bath in Hunstrete. Notably the Scollopshell has just been named as Bath’s best Fish and Chips. For special occasions, and if your budget stretches there are: Bath Priory, Lucknam Park, Allium Brasserie and the Royal Crescent Hotel. For picnics, feeding the birds, general strolling and for those seeking a great playground for younger children the Royal Victoria Park is also a must. Just outside of Bath there are a number of great venues, we have Dyrham Park, , Westonbirt Arboretum, Bath Races, the Royal Bath & West Showground and Lansdown Golf Club.
