Hi there, you are very welcome to Carrigaline. I have one big double room in a quite neighbourhood, near the hotel 10mins drive from the airport and 15 to Ringaskiddy ferry. It is also very near the city, Kinsale, Crosshaven and many other tourist destinations and places of interest. It is a private house. There is no restaurant in the house, I do not provide food. I have a dog in the kitchen who is not allowed roam around and does not meet guests. There is a toaster, electric kettle and mini-fridge in the room. We have a lovely lounge where guest can hang out if they are staying more than one night. I light a fire there in the colder evenings. There is also a pleasant garden in the back of the house where guests are welcome to chillax!
I love meeting people from all over. I also respect that some people do not want to chat and that is ok too. I speak German and Spanish and love to practice. I understand French and love listening to it.
Carrigaline is a safe suburban area, but very close to the beautiful Atlantic coast. It is near the city also, where there are many seasonal events now; shows, pantomine, music, shopping and Christmas fairs.The atmosphere in the city is wonderful at the moment, although it is very cold, everybody is buzzing with the festive spirit! Santa Claus is in town! Brown Thomas is a must for shopping and Mahon Point and Douglas Village commercial centers are also very popular with kids and adults alike. There are cinemas and various restaurants in both centers. Blarney and its famous woolen mills and craft shop is also a must for visitors. Garretstown beach is renowned for windsurfing but you will need wetsuits! Fountainstown often has a mobile sauna. Have a traditional Chinese massage in downtown Carrigaline, you won.t regret it! Munch FishnChips in Crosshaven while watching the boats sail out to sea. The scenery nearby is abolutely breathtaking. My house is near the airport, with a very good local taxi service and public bus also. The local 4 star hotel; The Carrigaline Court Hotel is just down the road from me, where you can eat in the Bistro, swim and enjoy their Spa facilities.
