I found the location to be very good because it's very close to the main train station. The area seems a little bit dangerous but on the other hand, that's Napoli.

Undulating beside the Bay of Naples, this UNESCO World Heritage city is a maze of narrow streets and funicular railways. Although it has an incredible array of churches and monuments, it’s the sheer energy, pulsating life, and buzz of Vespas that really make it exciting.
At first you could mistake this for chaos, but given time you’ll see there’s method to the madness. The stunning, curved portico of the Royal Palace. The perfectly thin pizzas which originated here. The red pepper trinkets to ward off the evil eye adorning practically every old town doorway. All are crafted to perfection.
While all this goes on at street level, below is Underground Naples – a series of visitable tunnels and even a Graeco-Roman theatre which you stop at before emerging into someone’s house!
Head up to the Posillipo area for stunning views of the city and Vesuvius in the distance. The volcano itself can be visited and looking down from it towards Pompeii and Herculaneum gives context to the thousands of artefacts now on display in the city’s National Archaeological Museum.
As for accommodation, Booking.com has a wealth of hotels near Naples Airport, old town B&Bs, city centre apartments and more to help you make the most of your stay.

Very nice, did not see or have any issues with pick pocketers or scammers, did not feel unsafe anywhere, kept phone and wallet out of site. It looks rough but people are very friendly and helpful. City may have a bad reputation from past years. Will definitely return to explore more around Naples maybe a ferry trip and overnight stay on Corsica. Visited Catacombs, basilicas, harbour front boat ride, palace sites and lots of narrow shopping streets. Vesuvio and Pompeii visits were great. Need more than a day for Pompeii.

Naples is friendly and easy to move about with taxis.
Naples is friendly and easy to move about with taxis. We did not use the metro because our time was too limited to learn about buses or the metro. We visited Capri by ferry and loved it. We booked a half-day Pompeii tour and it was worth it!!!! Our guide was excellent and out visit afterwards to the Archeological Museum made so much more sense to us. Bonus tip - museums are free the first Sunday of the month - we did not pay attention to this info but changed our trip to Capri to Saturday and the. Saw 2 museums free on Sunday - total “happy accident!”

Naples has a valuable treasure of historic buildings but not well taken care of! We had a very bad experience with the hop on hop off bus so we hired a wonderful taxi driver to show us around Pompei, Amalfi, Sorento....I suggest you do the same! Same cost with great comfort!! We even mingled with locals which is why we travel, to meet locals and taste the food they have!!

A lot of amazing monuments and museums which demonstrate the rich history of Naples. However, the city is overcrowded and very neglected - trash and takeout boxes are everywhere. Traffic is crazy and cars very often don't stop when the light is red!
It's good for a day trip but not for longer.

Naples is a busy, bustling city, plenty to see and do.
Naples is a busy, bustling city, plenty to see and do. We had a short 3 day stay which give us a flavour of the place. Once you’ve acclimatised to all the scooters, cars and pedestrians jostling for space on the narrative cobbled streets it’s a great place to explore. Also football/soccer and Maradona are very popular in Naples..

The old architecture, many monuments, natural beauties, the beauty of nearby islands. Transportation was good and cheap.
I didn't like it: the city is terribly dirty, there are many and violent sellers and suspicious people.
The property was truly outstanding! Nestled right in the heart of the city next to the magnificent Duomo, the building itself exuded Italy's captivating ancient architecture. Inside, the apartment was a perfect blend of classic beauty and modern convenience. Our host was incredibly humble and gracious, going above and beyond to assist us with recommendations for nearby attractions and suggesting some exceptional places to visit. I would wholeheartedly recommend this gem to anyone traveling to Naples. It was a memorable experience
The hotel - and staff - were exactly what we needed after a difficult travel morning. Gennaro was as hospitable, friendly, and helpful as anyone we met in Italy. I have to say too, that he knew as much about North American culture as we did! The location was perfect, particularly for people new to the vibrancy and bustle of Naples. The hotel itself is charming, tucked away just a little off the bustle of the city, but step out of the courtyard and you are on the street and in the middle of wonderful, crazy, Napoli.
Very neat and comfortable accommodation. The owner of the accommodation is a wonderful, pleasant woman who is ready to help and resolve any requests. Everything you need is in the room. The air conditioner saved us in the days of terrible heat outside! 😄
A huge terrace with deckchairs and a table with a view of Naples and Vesuvius will steal your hearts! ❤️
Near the accommodation there is everything you need: shops, markets, a kiosk with metro tickets, a pizzeria and the tastiest grilled chickens in Italy!)
The room was easy enough to find, look for a small blue sign on the gate post outside where they will meet you on arrival. A short walk to lots of great restaurants and bars, along with amazing shopping.
The breakfast in Italy consists of croissant and coffee - so don’t be expecting anything savoury. This hotel uses a local bar 200 meters away which you take a token to for complimentary coffee and croissant. Tip - just sit down outside they will serve you - show them the voucher when you arrive.
Stop looking and book it! Traveled so much of Italy and stayed at so many places and hotels and this was top two. The breakfast was wonderful, and the staff was amazing, kind, helpful and friendly. The design is also inspiring. We stayed with our daughters and they prepared downstairs what our daughters called the most comfortable sofa bed ever, it was like two twin beds/trundle bed. Although in the heart of it all it was very quiet and comfortable. We will be back! Thank you!!!!! ❤️
The vibe of the room and location was so cool! We loved the update room and lighting, it added to the mood. The bath was absolutely amazing and relaxing, we used this to relax after our 14 days in Italy before our flight out of Naples. We loved their communication and they helped us set up a taxi for 4am! The hosts were absolutely wonderful and if we come back to Naples to spend more time we would stay here again. The amenities were plentiful and correctly listed.
If you want to feel the real Naples, you have to stay at this place. 2 minutes away from the main street, but enough of a walk to feel and hear the real Italy. People cheering at a football game, a wife shouting at her husband and people navigating the narrow streets on scooters. It’s amazing!
The host was magnificent too. He’s ready to help at any time with everything.
Thanks for everything and we’re definitely staying there when coming back to Naples!
I loved my stay at Napoli Cityscape! Vanna and Antonio were some of the nicest people we met in all of Italy and they were so great at communicating and making sure we were comfortable. I love that we got breakfast vouchers for every morning at a nearby cafe - I think I even preferred that to a hotel-served breakfast! The room was spacious and stylish, the amenities were great, and the mini-fridge was perfect for storing all our takeaway pizza.
LHP Napoli Palace & Spa had comfortable rooms, attentive staff, and a great breakfast spread. The Francy Restaurant dinner was well made and a well served. The best parts of the hotel, though, are undoubtedly at its top and bottom levels - the rooftop bar and pool, and spa, respectively. They both helped us acclimate to Italy quickly and comfortably after a long journey from the US.
The biggest thing for me is safety traveling to another country especially to Naples or Italy, as a single female. Andrea made me feel very safe and is the best host anyone can ask for from the moment of arrival. The place is at the best location, about 5 minutes walk from the train station. For the price, I would pay double or more. Oh and the house is nice and clean daily.
Great location, close to the train station and airport. Excellent pizza nearby. We really appreciated the easy check-in process and our host went above and beyond! He was able to arrange a taxi for us very early in the morning, so we could make our flight out of Naples. We also left some items behind and he posted them to our final hotel in Italy. We were very grateful!
Sergio is a fantastic host. The busyness of Naples was great to be part of but to be able enjoy a noise free space in the evenings and mornings with a beautiful view of Vesuvius was the perfect end to two a week trip through Italy. Breakfast was delicious. Sergio, again was so lovely, welcoming and generous with his time and advice. Highly recommend
We have never stayed at a property that was not a traditional hotel - although not exactly a bed and breakfast - the exact location took us by surprise - perhaps common for Naples/Italy/ The photos of course do not depict what you will find upon arrival - basically located in an alley
Very modern, couldnt find better hotel in whole South Italy which accepts pets. Great staff, very good parfumes in whole hotel, great design, John Richmond toilleteries! Free shuttle to center. Good menu at restaurant, good breakfast for Italian style.
For Naples a quiet location. You can relax after sightseeing in Naples. Comfortable mattresses. For the standard of Italy nice breakfasts, a big plus for fresh orange juice.
