Traditional style with amazing service but still modern, breakfast is amazing very complete any request they respond really fast. Everyone speaks English so it is very easy to get any information. police is always around the property so feels really safe. Transportation: property is in Hivernage is a more high-end neighborhood but really close to La Medina. For us was amazing to be able to be close to La Medina but without being in the middle of the super busy Medina. For around €10 you can get into the airport

The Medina like many Moroccan cities is a labyrinth of passages and at every corner is a surprise. Very safe and people very helpful and friendly. Recommend the Civitatis walking tour. The Souq was extensive and as always, a chance to practice your bargaining power. Food is very good almost everywhere and recommend trying local restaurants and local food. Vegetables are great and fruit even better. Activities are generally quite inexpensive compared to other locations. Summer is hot, reaching more than 40C every day and barely cools off at night. Many areas in the Medina are still affected by the earthquake in 2023 so there is a lot of building activity in progress...very slow progress!

🌟 Marrakech – A City Full of Life and Surprises 🌟

🌟 Marrakech – A City Full of Life and Surprises 🌟 Marrakech is a truly beautiful city with a vibrant atmosphere unlike anywhere else. It feels safe overall, though visitors should stay alert for pickpockets, especially at night around Jemaa el-Fnaa. The energy of the city is captivating—colorful, lively, and full of character. If you're visiting in August, be prepared for intense heat (40°C+), so choosing accommodations with air conditioning is a must. Haggling is part of the experience, whether you're in the souks or negotiating taxi fares—embrace it! We highly recommend hiring a local guide for half a day; it adds so much depth and context to your visit. One tip: don’t rent a car. The traffic is chaotic and navigating the streets can be stressful. Walking or using local transport is much more manageable. Overall, Marrakech left a lasting impression on us. It’s a city of contrasts and charm, and we’ll definitely be coming back!

So much to do when you arrive in Marrakech.

So much to do when you arrive in Marrakech. You can take many of the desert trips into the Sahara Desert Morocco and stay overnight in a desert camp. You can go to beautiful Ouzoud Falls to see the waterfalls and meet the cheeky monkeys. You can take a Supratours local bus from the bus station for approx €14 ( 1400 mad) and go to the cooler Atlantic coast and visit Essouira, a beautiful fishing town where the local fish are caught With restaurants all up the coast there to choose from. Or you can just chill out and enjoy the cultural wonders of Marrakech.

We were a group of 8 people (2 mums and all our children - aged 21 to 26) and we stayed in Marrakech for 5 nights and just loved the hustle and bustle of the city. In general people are very friendly and helpful and you feel very safe in the city even in big crowds. A few times, we experienced rude and not-so-trustworthy people, who tried to cheat us. Many gorgeous things to buy. Quite warm to go in August, but that was as expected. Next time I will definitely go in the autumn or spring.

Landlocked which makes it very hot in the summer.

Landlocked which makes it very hot in the summer. This made it not very enjoyable to go out and explore the city as much as we would like. Favourite place was Gueliz. Shopping there was much better, modern place with high end brands and restaurants. The taxis were not very affordable, especially the yellow taxis. We had to use the in drive app to find more affordable transfers. We really enjoyed our days in the agafay desert and our day in the Atlas Mountains.

Such a good spot, right behind Jemaa El Fnaa, but with all the luxury you expect from a 5 star hotel. Good WIFI, beautiful surroundings and absolutely lovely front desk staff. Abdelatif and Abdelatif (from 2 different shifts) were helpful and amazing as usual and there was lady who helped me at check in (who’s name also began with A (maybe Alina)) that are absolutely amazing. They are a reason to come back alone.

We enjoyed staying at Elegancia. Everything from facilities, location to taste of food, and especially the staff ‘s kindness matched our expectations. The staff hospitality is great, far more better than in other hotels (4 or 5 stars) we’ve been in Western Europe. They really know what hospitality means.
